As always enjoy staying at Holiday Inn Express but this time the internet was so slow it was unusable. There did not seem to be much of an effort to fix it. It was unusable the entire time we were there.

Staff didn't know ,nor was there a sign on the hot tub saying that it was broken.
Long trip and it would have been great to have had it working .

Check-in and check-out was quick and easy. Room was comfortable and quiet. Staff was very friendly in every interaction. Beds were comfortable and adequate.
Overall we enjoyed our experience there and would stay there again with our family (4 children).

We stayed for a week and toured OK while we were there. Excellent staff and friendly. We felt like we were leaving family by the time we left. Excellent hotel and quality employees.

It was early evening when we got to the property. We were the only ones in the lobby, but were not greeted. I approached the front desk in silence and broke the silence myself by stating I had a reservation and gave my name. The girl behind the desk rifled through some files and found mine. She said "initial here and here and sign here" followed by "Here's your keys". Two days later my wife's key failed to open the door and she went down to resolve the problem. The girl in the lobby #not the same as when we checked in# was talking with a friend. Again, without a word, this girl took the key from my wife and went behind the desk. Presently, she returned and handed the key to my wife without so much as a word - not even "Sorry for your inconvenience". The following morning we spoke with the Manager, Denise and informed her that her staff, while not directly rude, avoided some opportunities to extend politeness. We also told her of the noisy AC unit in our room and that, if possible we would like to have a fridge and micro. Denise was having issues of her own. She was training someone on his first day, which taxes both time and energy. Additionally, among other things, it was quite hot and humid in her work space. Denise could have used these reasons as excuses to be short, but she sat with us and listened. When we had finished speaking, she immediately went to personally inspect a room she intended to trade with ours. She was so interested in assuring our comfort, she saw to the issue personally. From that point, we had a very enjoyable stay. We have no way of knowing how she addressed the staff issues #and it’s none of our business# but we are certain Denise will always do the best for her guests and for her business in the future.

I thought it was a little expensive for the area. Nothing to do in Vinta but the lake.

The front office staffing was not too concern with with all the flys in the lounge. They were more concern about checking people in and not about all the flys. Even the room had flys. There are better way to prevent flys besides having Flys squatters.
