Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Whining Dogs Please note, this is NOT a pet friendly hotel! At check in my husband noticed a wandering dog behind the front desk. When he questioned the gentlemen he responded by saying "it is my service dog". My husband pointed out that a Chihuahua isn't typically the choice for a service dog. The clerk then stated that it was his mother's. The dog was seen standing on the front desk counter and running the halls barking the night before. Once in our room on the bottom floor we heard dogs whining from the room above through the vents. I called the front desk to which they said they would investigate. The whining lasted off and on for hours, which is frustrating in itself but trying to get two young children to sleep only increases the frustration. The next morning at breakfast many of the other guest were complaining about the dogs whining and they were told by the front desk that they would check for dog hair upon check out. They also had guest smoking on the second floor. The front desk did not have control over the behaviors of the guest or didn't care to follow HIE policy as dogs and smoking are apparently allowed at this hotel. I do not recommend this location and will never stay again. October 19, 2015
