Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by neverno This was a great room with a very comfortable sleeping area.
The staff was terrific. We had been traveling all day with a few storms in our path and completely worn out. Our military discount was honored and we were even upgraded. The upgrade included a hot-tub, which was wonderful after such a trying day. Beautiful room, very clean and very friendly staff.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by al sal. Everything was great...
As mentioned previously, all was great EXCEPT for the rationing of only one bottle of water for our 5 day stay!!
A bottle of water per day per patron on very hot days is not an unreasonable request!! We had to purchase our own water at local food stores!! Other hotels we have stayed at in travels always offered complimentary water and even a fresh apple at times for Club Members...

The room and grounds were clean, and that's the best I can say about this hotel. The bed was so soft that hubby and I both had creaky backs throughout our stay. The bathroom was tiny and dark, and there were less than half a roll of TP and only three facial tissues in the room when we arrived. There was a bar of soap for the bathroom sink, but nothing but bare counter to put it on after use. The shower curtain wasn't quite as long as the tub, so there was water all over the floor after every shower. On our only full day there, we left the hotel at 8:30 a.m. and returned at 1 p.m. to a room that the staff hadn't cleaned yet. An hour later, the maid knocked at the door as we were getting ready to attend the wedding that brought us to town, and we told her we'd be leaving in about an hour. Thirty minutes later, we got a cranky call from the front desk asking how long it would be before they could clean our room.
That morning, we'd stopped back into the hotel's lobby to ask about nearby drugstores. The young man at the desk apparently had never heard the term "drugstore" before and could think of only one in the whole town -- a pharmacy downtown that was pretty much just that -- a pharmacy. Fortunately, we had better informed phones that could provide information about the town beyond the tourist attractions on Main Street.
It was 108 degrees the day of the (outdoor) wedding, and we returned to our room exhausted and looking forward to some air conditioning. We ended up having to choose between AC and sleep, because the AC clicked on then off, on then off rapidly over and over again before it would blow cool air for a few minutes, then start clicking on/off again.
The morning after our two-night stay ended, we were shocked to get a bill for a rate that was about 30% higher than the rate staff had quoted hubby on the phone. The front desk said there was nothing they could do for us because we couldn't prove it. The hotel's standard email confirmation doesn't include rate information, so it was our word against the hotel's - funny how that worked.
Wow, were we kicking ourselves for turning down some friends' kind offer to stay at their house 45 minutes away.
