Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Reprieve from I 95 For me its basic;if your staying in a hotel on I95 it needs to be of a reputable chain and have the rooms need to open on hallways not parking lots. HIE has always fit those parameters. Additionally, the section of I 95 between Savannah and Columbia is a notoriously bad one for stop and go traffic ,this hotels location makes it an ideal stopping point after a long day going to or returning from points south. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Respite from heavy holiday traffic This Holiday Inn has exceeded expectations. The room was ready, spacious, very comfortable and clean. It was a lovely room, so appreciated after a long, tiring drive. Breakfast was ready early and the staff was extra helpful and friendly. Sure would visit again. Excellent experience. January 8, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by No A/C in breakfast room We had a 60 second check in, no hassles. Great job on the part of the evening front desk clerk. Breakfast room was very hot in that the air conditioning was not turned on. The extremely nice and helpful dining room orderly went to the front desk and asked that the A/C be turned on because a guest was complaining. The desk clerk (different from the one who checked us in) came in the dining room and reluctantly turned on one of the A/C units and told the extremely nice and helpful dining room orderly to notify her when we left so she could turn it off. They should promote the extremely nice and helpful dining room orderly to customer relations manager and fire the morning front desk person. January 8, 2015
