HIEx regulars know what to expect when they visit, I'll just mention any particular +/-'s Seems like they've upgraded the linen so the duvets are super thick, pillows even plumper and towels are good size Breakfast area is nice and airy although I still prefer trays rather thank porting everything to table On minus side lifts seem to break down with some frequency, and parking can be a challenge if arriving late November 22, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Value for the Money! This hotel is in a great location, very close to the train station which got us to wherever we wanted to go while site seeing. My husband and I felt very comfortable walking around this area, even at night. Having breakfast included each day really saved us a lot of money and was so convenient. Our room was clean and comfortable, staff at the front desk and in the breakfast area were friendly and helpful, internet was free and worked well, which was great and we would definitely stay there again when visiting London. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Always a pleasant stay As a frequent guest at this property, I am always pleased with the well trained staff. They are friendly, professional and accommodating. The hotel is clean and well run and I've never experienced a problem while staying here many times. I recommend this hotel, but do advise those not familiar with the area, that transport is via train to central London, rather than by tube/subway. The station is convenient to the hotel and frequent service takes you to central London in about ten minutes, so not really an issue. November 12, 2014

Fantastic location, a stone's throw from Wandsworth Town overground station so just a few minutes away from Waterloo with services every few minutes. Great value, with the excellent breakfast included. Also, a really comfortable sleep, very friendly hotel staff and a relaxing atmosphere in the newly refurbished bar area. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great value for money Moving my daughter down to live in london, we needed a local Hotel to stay one night.with parking this hotel is excellent value modern, clean and the staff were helpful and efficient. the room was in good condition and had everything needed. the breakfast was good quality but limited choice of hot food. it was also very busy at 9am. all in all great value and we will stay again November 4, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by needs attention! When booking my recent stay, I had informed that i would be arriving late in the night. After an international travel, upon arrival at 2am, we found that the second (sofa) bed for our daughter was not prepared and there was no extra bed linen left in the room for us to do it ourselves. Soon after, we were shocked to see that there was no curtain on the window. we were offered another room after while but by then we were too tired to shift the suitcases and were in our pyjamas. We didn't get the much needed sleep due to light coming through the window all night and early morning hours. Clearly, somebody there, had not done their job right! We did not ask for much! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Wandsworth Stay This hotel was recommended to me from work and was a good find. The staff were very friendly and the local area was very welcoming and had a good atmosphere. It also seemed very quite for a London location. Wandworth Town station was in walking distance and went directly to Waterloo. However you can still feel a bit cut off from the big city. The Breakfast is nothing special but it is the same in every Holiday in Express. At least its free. Would stay here again. October 28, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by RISK OF NOT GETTING THE ROOM REQUESTED I've staying here before and I was very happy, so I was really upset to find that my recent booking was overriden by the hotel. Booked the same room as last time and found upon my arrival a room with single beds. I explained to the staff that I can't sleep on a single bed and they suggested moving the next morning when a suitable room came up and/or pushing the beds together !! This didn't help my sleep and much need rest to confront my next day full of business appointments. If I book and cannot cancel as I would be obligated to pay for the booking anyway, then why can't the same rule apply to HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS ? October 27, 2014

Then there was the woman who cleared the plate at breakfast, excellent sense of just how much to say, and she remembered us and was very helpful. Then the cleaning staff, again very good because the room was spotless. Hope they can all get a bonus! October 23, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 AMAZING-HAZEL I can not speak highly enough of Hazel the breakfast lady at this hotel. She goes out of her way to make sure everyone having breakfast has everything they need. We staid two nights here, a Friday and a Saturday in October. The Saturday morning was extremely busy with crowds of people wanting tables for breakfast. She satisfied everyone in a most professional and polite way, clearing tables, fetching items, speaking to people with very little English, finding owners of lost coats and toys etc. She always has a smile for everyone. Reception staff/ bar were also very polite and helpful. We enjoyed our stay in a very comfortable room and will definitely return. October 16, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It was a grand time had by all I found the staff at the hotel wonderful. They were friendly, attentive, professional and helpful. Especially Alister, David, Pablo and Greg. Hazel, the Breakfast Lady, was joyous and bubbly every morning. Welcoming any chance to chat for a few minutes about the sites I was seeing. The breakfast meat selection could have used a bit more variety, but overall it was adequate. I would have liked for the housekeeping staff to not change out my towels every time they cleaned. There is a sign on the wall about leaving towels on the rod if to be used again, but they gave us new ones each time. I like to conserve whenever possible. Having the train just around the corner made traveling in and out of central London a breeze. And having so many restaurants, pubs and convenient stores close by made it a great place to stay. Couldn't leave us alone with constant talking and comments... some people like to read a paper or spend breakfast with they family! Please leave us alone if we ever come back. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mid week stay This is a great location even for visiting north of the river which we did on the third day. Car parking is easy. All the staff are welcoming, efficient and extremely helpful at all times. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. This hotel provides many choices for breakfast and beverages and drinks are available throughout the day in the large lounge/bar area. Nearby are very good restaurants and takeaways and a particularly famous fish and chip restaurant. Next door there is a well-known food shop which was very useful. Guests are allowed to bring back lunch and/or evening meal to eat in the bar area or in the room with plates and cutlery provided by the hotel. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel with excellent customer service Had not stayed at a Holiday Inn Express before so was unsure what to expect but was very surprised by the excellent customer service (everyone spoke fluent English)the room was large and very clean and the free breakfast had a great variety to choose from both hot and cold. Thought we might get some road noise as it is on a busy road but didn't hear a thing, comfy bed but only a double not a king which would be my only gripe about our stay. For London the size of the room, price and the great customer service will definitely stay there again. October 4, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great location but terrible service The hotel itself is very conveniently located - a 5 minute walk from Wandsworth Town train station and only a short car ride from Clapham. The rooms were OK, fairly comfortable with everything you'd expect from an Express hotel in terms of amenities. The thing that let this hotel down, however, was the customer service. Upon arrival (at around 11pm), we were reluctantly greeted by the receptionist, who quite clearly wanted to be anywhere but working on reception. He was rude and unhelpful. Unfortunately, this was our first impression of the hotel, and despite subsequent staff members being friendlier, this unhelpful, "teenage" attitude is what I'll remember. September 29, 2014
