Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good hotel; good location; great service. I regularly stay at this location for business purposes. My initial incentive was the location (close to the M40 and other major routes). I appreciate the early (6.30am) start of the complimentary breakfast buffet. Rooms are always clean and comfortable. The staff at this location are excellent; always friendly and they do their very best to be helpful. The only downside would be lack of on-site dining facilities in the evening. There is a pub adjacent (not connected to the hotel( which I could not recommend. That said, Warwick is a short ride away with plenty of choice; and the hotel has no problems with guest bringing food in to the hotel - in fact they happily provide plates, cutlry, etc. November 16, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 Paying For Car Parks? so I arrive at the hotel at 1am, the car park is half empty, there are no other buildings using the car park, and I'm told I have to pay £3.50 for the privilege of parking. Are you kidding? The charge is not even consistent with the cost described on my pre-booking form. There is no way to stay at this hotel without a car, so charging extra for that privilege is borderline gouging. Very poor. November 15, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 nightmare avoid if possible, pay a little more and go to a better hotel. the room walls are thin, and noise from next door is easily heard. the aircon only warms part of the room with warm air, and then blows cold on the rest. the staff don't know how to challenge awkward guests, therefore the others suffer for this. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great location for family day out at Warwick Castle Hotel is ideally situated near to Warwick Castle, Stratford upon Avon and Leamington Spa. Hotel appears to be modern, clean and offers a nice hot complimentary breakfast. Rooms for a family of four were ok, except the sofa bed wasn't at all comfortable and really aimed at small children only. Had a problem at the hotel which was resolved immediately by the management team with swift decisive action, something which was appreciated more than the stay itself and would make me return. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good location, shame about parking charges This is a typical HI Express with the sort of rooms and facilities you'd expect. Right next to the M40 but no noise from that (unlike the Scottish wedding guests coming back at night who made plenty, but you get that anywhere). Very convenient for Warwick and Stratford. Decent breakfast including some hot items (sausages, beans, scrambled eggs). The only irritating thing is the 3.50 per night charge for parking - OK it's not going to break the bank but in a typical out of town location with just the hotel and a family pub next door there's really no excuse for this. Laura on desk tried on her system and had same problem. When we came down next day a map was there already printed off for us to use. Thank you! Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Cold room and poor breakfast selection My stay at this hotel was an average experience. With a few down sides. I arrived to a freezing cold room after a long drive on an October evening, so it wasn't the best start. I tried to get the heater to blow out warm air but it wasn't happening. However. The room itself was clean and the bed was comfortable. At breakfast. I was disappointed to see that the only hot food was sausage, egg and beans. Other items were toast, croissants and cereal. In my opinion a little poor, but for the price of the room it isn't bad value. I would stay here again if the price was around the same. October 15, 2014

For a student in his 3rd year, he was used to saying in some pretty awful accommodation so we were expecting that the Holiday Inn Express should meet his needs. Even with experience of sharing a house with 15 other students, he found that the accommodation was too dirty and unhygienic for him to cope with, e.g. when you turned the tap on in the bathroom, you could smell sewage. The hotel staff just gave a "shoulder shrug" when told, the internet only worked intermittently so he had to spend most of his days at the library to get any work done. October 13, 2014

Online i booked a double room but was given a twin so me and my boyfriend had to sleep in single beds. When i complained i was told there was no double rooms left so nothing they could do. The toilet was filthy and the beds was uncomfortable. Pillows were rock hard and duvet felt like it had a weight in the bottom. The hairdyer in the room didnt work and due to lack of plugs available i couldnt plug my own hairdyer in near a mirror. I could hear everything that was happening in the room above us, their conversations, each time they went to the toilet. So not ideal when im trying to get some sleep. It wasnt a pleasant experience for me and boyfriend who were away celebratinf his birthday. Definately would not reccomend or even visit again. October 9, 2014

If I did have a worry at this hotel this relates to the car parking which has now changed to a coin operated system, and guest should be aware you need to type in your reg number at reception to avoid car parking fines. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by close to warwick castle and stratford upon avon we chose the holiday inn in Warwick because our last visit to a holiday inn was very enjoyable, It was a pleasant stay and the position was very good for us to visit the sites in the area, a clean and bright place to stay and our room was very nice, we also found that taking the bus was very easy as the outward bus stop was right out side and also the returning bus stop was opposite the Holiday inn so we did not have to find parking each time we went out. When my daughter and her husband arrived at midnight and started to unload the four tiers of the wedding cake the staff not only assisted in unloading it but found a cool, secure room where it could be left overnight until ready to assemble it at the wedding venue the following day. I had travelled to warrick for a work conference the next day to wanted to ensure I was fully relaxed before the conference. On arrival at the hotel the receptionist was fine, said evening etc as you would and gave us room no etc. The Room was ok, wasnt perfect and was not set for 3 people. Everything was set for 2, 2 mugs etc. My duvet cover had blood on it and by the time id arrived at the hotel I was to tired to argue with someone at the time and faff around with getting bedding changed I just wanted to sleep. The breakfast the next morning was awful too, No variety and the bulk of it was cold. The receptionist on at the time was rude and very snotty. I will not be staying here again. September 24, 2014

Late breakfast, which was good with a hangover from the night before, but limited breakfast choice and had to wait a for a table and clean cups. However, overall pleasant stay and would recommend.
