Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Felicity spoilt it We had enjoyed 2 nights at the hotel and couldn't find anything wrong until we came to check out. We were informed that we owed £17.65 for drinks ordered at 6.35 the night before that we certainly hadn't had as we were eating out. The receptionist told us that she would have to check the CCTV to see if was us and that they had our card details if necessary. Her attitude was both rude and off hand and she made us out to be both thieves and liers. Needless to say we didn't leave until we had firmly established the facts, but I shall be watching the bill when it arrives just in case. It was such a shame because all the other staff had been so friendly and helpful. June 1, 2014

There's an onsite Pub & Restaurant, again very friendly. Breakfast was good. Overall very good value; we have stayed in expensive Hotels & not always received such good service & accommodation so it's not always about you get what you pay for! May 29, 2014

Ideally located at side of M40 for so many different places to visit. Cant wait for next visit which i hope will be next month (June) May 8, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by NICE STOP Even though this Express is on the dated side when it comes to the newer generation, it still maintains some pretty decent quality and cleanliness as compared to other ones of the same generation. It is in a nice location and easy access to and from the highway. Unfortunately, I was not given any additional perks as a Platinum member. April 30, 2014

Our stay was lovely and they Staff are very nice the hotel is lovely and clean and our room was excellent our bed was comfortable and slept all night and the shower was good too. We were impressed by this hotel on arrival and with the high standard of customer service. We had a comfortable, bright and spacious room which accommodated a family of 4. Staff accommodated us here again without booking and offered the same great rate we paid on the first visit. They also waived the car parking fee. This was much appreciated. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Lovely Hotel, breakfast was good, staff very pleasant we (4 adults, 1 child and 11months old baby) found the hotel to be very nice, breakfast had a good choice of food, I really don't understand why some people complain e.g no bacon we don't have problem with that, our only gripe was the Porridge Pot, mediocre food, dirty glasses that we used baby wipes to wipe round the sticky rim, we used the Porridge Pot twice then in desperation tried the Race Horse, there was an overwhelming greasy smell, daughter googled it only to find it was described as unhygienic and dirty the result we turned round and came out decided to grab the bull by the horns and back to the Porridge Pot only to find that when we got back they had closed down for the weekend, quite few people were also trying to go in, by this time it was 6 o'clock and we had a hungry baby so daughter went in lounge to feed her while my husband and I went to the local chipshop, yes we were desparate, please could you 'suss'out some decent eating places for people who don't know the area it was the one thing that spoiled our visit and I know it isn't your fault but it took the edge off was a nice stay in your hotel April 23, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel. Would definitely recommend. Ideal hotel to stay at if you are visiting Warwick Castle. Very clean with fantastic restaurant next door. Perfect for families. Only downside was the children's bed (as we always find when we stay away). My eldest son, 11 years old, could not sleep on sofa bed because of the thin mattress. I ended up sharing it with my youngest son, 9, and had an awful nights sleep. It was so uncomfortable - you could feel every spring! Wish hotels would provide proper beds for children not just sofa beds. April 18, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean comfy room, disappointing breakfast. Reception staff very pleasant and helpful. Our room on the ground floor was in the 'new' wing, which was clean, comfy and quiet, and we had a good nights sleep. We went for breakfast at 9 o'clock, and found the restaurant was busy. Unfortunately there were no cornflakes, croissants, fresh fruit or sausages available, bacon is not on the menu. When we asked we were told there were no more and that was it. When my wife asked if a banana could be found she was offered a bowl of grapefruit segments. :-) It was disappointing to end our stay like this, however, it is a nice, clean and friendly hotel. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good hotel but: Good hotel and we had a quiet room on the ground floor overlooking a grassed area. We did not realise that the hotel caters for pets until we saw dogs being excerised on the green area outside our room. Pets are not allocated to special rooms. We do not like the idea of staying in the same room previously accupied by pets therfore we will not be using Holiday Inn hotels in future. Otherwise the hotel and location is good. April 10, 2014

Pros: • excellent location. Just off motorway and a 5 min drive to Warwick and the castle • Pub on site • Free breakfast with lots of choice • Very modern and clean • Ice machine, microwave and a snack stall in lobby • Ironing board and free newspaper on request • Nice grounds Cons: • Bad lighting in room(but isn't it always in hotels) • No mirror close to a plug socket so straightening hair very challenging • Parking charge • Extremely uncomfortable, lumpy mattress April 6, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great location, clean and modern, breakfast could be better Great location being very close to the motorway and pleased to see effective double glazing keeping the noise out. Bed was comfortable, pillows a little flat and firm. Room and hotel was very clean and staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was OK although it was lacking in choice eg a choice of fresh fruit was a banana, there were no Muller yoghurts as advertised just a big bowl of non-descript plain yoghurt. All edible but obvious that budget ingredients were being used (especially the white bread!) £3 car parking was a surprise! Would consider staying again but would probably shop around - better than some budget lodges but not as good as some budget inns April 2, 2014

The mattresses in our twin bedded room were so comfortable that they need a special mention. It was nice and quiet and breakfast was good. All staff friendly and efficient. Would go back again. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Okay but could be better This Holiday Inn Express offers the normal clean, comfortable room but is lacking compared to others. The room was clean and reasonably modern in most respects but was let down by an ancient, yellowed plastic kettle and associated tray that incorporated the power supply. For what a kettle costs it is a shame that something so simple detracted from the finish of the room. In other respects the room was tidy but seemed not to have been re-fitted for a few years. The staff were friendly and helpful and check in and check out were both quick and smooth. The breakfast options were particularly disapointing, there was no provision for a cooked breakfast, some sausages and scrambled eggs were the only hot food options, aside from toast. Similarly the choices of cold breakfast options were not nearly as numerous as I have enjoyed at other Holiday Inn Expresses, notably the one in Colchester which is excellent. This isn't ideal before departing to drive home. March 26, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Busy Express Stayed here at the last minute and they kindly fitted me in as a Platinum member. Staff friendly and welcoming, room clean and pleasant. Good value and large bar area for a HIX. Not their problem but with Crufts on the hotel was packed but this created a good atmosphere. My only gripe is they apparently have removed Marmite from the breakfast display which I fail to understand why. marmite is a national treasure and surely the cost should not come into it. I will now take my own mini jar with me to start the day. March 22, 2014

The staff are excellent and are always willing to help at every opportunity. The rooms are always spotless. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good hotel.Great if you want to visit the castle We stayed here for the night,in preperation for going to Warwick castle the next day. When we arrived we were quite surprised with how smart it was,as we normally stay in Travelodges for trips such as this,and considering the price of the room, we were pleasantly surprised with how lovely the hotel looked. The receptionist was sort of friendly.....he welcomed us nicely but there was a rather snippy comment about our ' rather late' arrival..at 7.30!Anyway,afterwards he was very helpful about where to go and how to get wifi etc. The room was very nice.We had read comments about the rooms being too small,but it was fine for the four of us.We were also grateful the sofa bed was already set up. We found the room clean and comfy,and had everything we needed. The air conditioning was a little noisy.But we just turned it off and it was fine. In the morning we went down to breakfast and found there was a large range of breakfast items and hot/cold drinks. The food was all really nice and replenished quickly. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Another great stay Once again we stayed at this great hotel just 2 weeks from the last stay, we enjoyed it so much we came back , the hotel is situated perfectly for visiting warwick and stratford plus the surounding country side . We rang before our stay and asked for the room which we had last time ... no problem , nothing is to much trouble for the staff . being right next to a restaurant was an added bonus , no having to get in the car to travel out for a meal and not being able to imbibe. we can recomend this hotel . well done to all the staff.
