We got charged twice for our stay. I had to do notify them of the mistake asked to be contacted by management about it and never was. I had to call back to talk to a manager. I am thinking that they were doing me a favor not having management call me. the General Manager was very rude and didn't seem bothered by the issue at all. The reviews by other hotel stayer seems to reflect that. The responses to their grievances are generic as well showing no time for their problems. I was told by him what he would do to make up for the issue and I thought it not fitting. None the less I never received from him what he told me he would give me for the mistake. Also the customer care person I talked to on the phone Mike 2415 was equally as rude and said "We over charge people all the time it isn't that big of a deal"

Sisters and I stayed one night to go to a funeral. Checked in earlier than actual check in time and the staff immediately cleaned the first one that was checked out. Our only complaint was no microwave in the room. The water was hot the room was comfortable and the air/heat was working great. The breakfast was a tad cold but the biscuits and gravy were awesome. Check in was a breeze and I was recognized as a new member and received (all of us) got a bag with goodies. Ate them while we waited for our room to be ready. The lobby was nice and the front desk person was very friendly. We enjoyed the stay and for all the reviews I've read I'm not sure why all the people gave a bad review. Maybe if you treat people with respect you'll get respect in turn? Who knows? We enjoyed the stay and would definiately stay again and recommend it to any others that would travel to the area. Close to a mall, lots of food choices outside the hotel and even though we didn't use extra amenities, the washer/dryer, pool, jacuzzi, and all the other things were awesome to have available. Like I said I/we would recommend this HIE Waterloo, IA to anyone that is in that area, and have.

Everything was fine except when I received my bill on my credit card..... I was charge for someone bill that was not mine...we called ,was told they would fix the problem....it got worst they billed me again instead of giving me credit....time will tell if they finally get it correct.....

Manager needs a pr class. Had some foreign person call to my room trying to get my credit card number. How can someone just call my room. Manager was absolutely of no help in addressing the breach.

It would be a great experience if they would spend $50 and put little microwaves in the rooms. I don't always want to go out to eat and have a big meal. Or I might want to just reheat my leftovers from the previous night. Or I might be dietign & brought or bought food of my own. Or I might be working/relaxing in my pajamas and just want to microwave some popcorn.
I can't believe they don't have small microwaves.
Why don't you have a menu in the room from places that deliver or the restaurant right out the back door?

Nice Holiday Inn. Plenty of road noise though. Check with the front desk for the 10% coupon for the bar/restaraunt next door. Average food there. Chicken is above average.

I stayed here for two weeks while working in town. Hotel management and staff were very pleasant and accommodating. If I am back in Waterloo, IA again I would definitely stay here.
