Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by St. Jacobs Ontario November 13/14 Stayed previous night at a competitor;s facility and decided to move to the HI Express due to some accommodation issues (noisy team in town for a game). Have stayed at HIX several times, but this was the best so far. Everything was perfect from reception to check-out! I would like to point out one particular individual for commendation; Kelly at Front Desk Reception made our stay absolutely, when we decided after booking out that we would like to stay an additional night, she suggested relocating us to another room selection in order to ensure a quiet, undisturbed night, and she was right. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful room, awesome breakfast, great pool! We stayed at the hotel for a friend's wedding. Much to our surprise, there was a market with a bunch of food vendors as well as clothing and a petting zoo within a 2 minute walk away. Hotel was clean and luxurious. Would definitely recommend it to anyone. November 18, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good value for the Money My husband Gary and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn Express Suites in St. Jacobs. The suite was very clean, and comfortably furnished. The mattress on the bed was great, however I didn't sleep very well and unfortunately that happens a lot when I'm travelling, so no reflection on the hotel. We went on to Gananoque after St. Jacobs and sought out another Holiday Inn Express as our first encounter was so positive. Again, we found the same level of service, a very nice room, and all the amenities we could ask for. I certainly would recommend this hotel to anyone I know. Carol November 18, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Small things that would have made our stay better. We were Grandparents taking our granddaughter to a hockey tournament. We arrived at the hotel at approximately 12noon. Our daughter who has been in many hotels for hockey tournaments assured us that we would almost certainly be able to check into our room when we arrived. The clerk on duty was polite but not helpful and refused anyone a room until 3 pm (check in time) We went out and returned an hour later and again were told by same clerk NO ENTRY!! He went on a break and suddenly we saw that people were getting there rooms. So we went and asked for our key (we had done all the check in) and received it (different clerk) I recognize that these tournaments must be a bit of a nightmare for staff, however people would have been better managed in their rooms than all in the lobby. The other comment is that all hockey tournament people should have been put on the same floor. The people staying beside us on the Sat night had been to a wedding and decided to continue the party in their room. The hockey girls were under strict curfew as they had an early game Sunday morning. Screaming in the halls in the early hours was not conducive to this. Just 2 things that would have made our stay more pleasant. It is a lovely hotel, rooms lobby and an exceptionally good breakfast. November 13, 2014

The staff took upon themselves to arrange lodging at another hotel since they were no rooms left. All we had to do was cross the road and walk directly to our room. It was greatly appreciated. I believe they went above and beyond for us. I will continue to book with Holiday Inn Express and pass on to friends your generosity. November 13, 2014

However it would have been more comfortable if I wasn't being attacked by hokey pucks in the hallways and loud noises from all the kids running in the hallways. My room was great. Only comment : I realize these rooms are wheelchair accessible however you still need full length hanging bars for regular clothes. You could put a hanging rack just inside the door. I did not appreciate hanging my travel bag from the shower rod in the bathroom. The breakfast was good plenty of food and hot. I would recommend your hotel , just not during hockey season. Might I suggest that when a hockey group comes to town that you either put them on 1-3 consecutive floors or your other guests so that there is peace and quite for all. November 12, 2014
