Just stayed for one night, but the room was clean as was the rest of the hotel. Staff was friendly. If I were in the area again, I would stay here.

The Watertown Holiday Inn Express is a very nice place to stay. The breakfast center in the morning has an excellent choice of items to accommodate people choices.

Told the desk staff about a slow shower drain and it was fixed the same day. Had our grandkids there and they wanted hot chocolate and the staff got some packets for us on 2 different occasions. the male life guard on duty Oct. 2 was professional and very safety conscious, not afraid to inform people of the rules.
We'll be back!

We checked into our non-smoking room and it smelled like smoke. It was a former smoking room, they said, but it still smelled. They kindly put us into a handicapped room (the only room available with a king bed), which was fine with us.
One of the pools was very cold and the lifeguard had no idea what was wrong or when it would be fixed. Some young children were frolicking in the hot tub unattended by any adults. It was difficult to relax with my girlfriend with kids splashing around. I wish the lifeguard would have enforced the pool rules.
The breakfast was okay but the pancake machine was not producing pancakes. Staff had a hard time getting it to work until breakfast had ended and 3 or 4 pancakes came out.
These problems could have been alleviated by more training or empowering employees to take action or paying for better employees.
