Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Su04 Convenient and good value for money
I brought my daughter to London to visit the Harry Potter Tour at the Warner Bros Studio, and booked the hotel for three nights because it was close to Watford Junction Station, (just five minutes walk door to door), where we knew we would be able to catch a bus to the Studios.
The hotel staff were polite and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable, and the complimentary breakfast was more than adequate. My daughter and I enjoyed a drink and a reasonably priced meal at the hotel bar on the second night. There wasn't a vast menu but what they had looked very nice.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Excellent value
We had a lovely stay in Watford. This hotel is very close to Watford Junction station 20 min to Euston lots of trains but make sure that you get the fast ones. Harry potter world is close too. Staff were so nice and very helpful . Only downside is limited parking but we managed with the staff,s help. Would stay again when we go back to London thanks to staff. Would be nice if bacon was on the breakfast menu.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by MrsB612 Very helpful staff
Chosen because of proximity and ease of access to Harry Potter Studio tour, this hotel exceeded my expectations. I booked a family room for myself and 3 teenagers. The room was small but more than adequate for us as we spent little time in it. The two who slept on the pull-out sofa bed declared it not very comfortable and would have liked a couple of extra pillows. The staff were very helpful with suggestions of places to eat on Saturday and Sunday evening. They looked after our luggage after we checked out so that we could spend the day shopping in London before leaving. Breakfast area was clean and breakfast supplies plentiful and varied - more than enough to fill up 3 hungry teens before a big day out. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting somewhere affordable, comfortable and close to transport (but no noise problem) for visiting London (20 minute express train trip to Euston) and the Harry Potter Studio tour (bus leaves from Watford Junction station just around the corner from the hotel).

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by HubbyofHarryPotterFan Pretty good. Would have given 5 stars for wifi in rooms.
Quite comfortable, convenient and reasonable for what we wanted to do (Harry Potter and a brief tour around London before proceeding inland). Bus and trains were convenient. You can be back in the middle of London within an hour. If you are looking for a view you will be disappointed, but if you are looking for good local pub grub and shopping you wont be. There is a big mall nearby with all economic levels - Upscale all the way down to swap meet. - It's not the Bull ring area in Birmingham but it will do. I was looking at crystal on one end and used records at the other. Free Wifi in the lobby but not in the rooms. You pay extra for a wired internet & premium cable TV in the rooms. I didn't bother, I just sat in the bar/lobby/lounge downstairs, so did a lot of others, but it was a little inconvenient. Everything else clean and comfortable. Staff excellent.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fuzzball65 Very neat and tidy Hotel
We stayed here basically for its location, a five minute walk from Watford Junction Station and near to the Harry Potter World.
We stayed for six nights and used the hotel as a base for getting into London, leaving after breakfast and getting back between nine and ten at night. We also went to the Harry Potter World.
Therefor we were really pleased with the hotel. The room we stayed in was a family room, one double bed and a sofa bed.It was well maintaned and had plenty of space.
We were a bit concerned about the noise from trains but we hardly heard them, we were on the fourth floor this might have helped!!
The breakfast was adequate with enough choice for adults and children.
My only gripe was the fact you have to pay for internet use especially nowadays when most places provide free wifi.

Very comfortable, spotlessly clean room. Even a choice of piloows from firm to soft. Staff were friendly and couldn't be more helpful. Lovely, ample breakfast. Just a few steps from Watford Junction for quick train into central London. Would definitely stay here again!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Karen1960 Great hotel
Had a 3 night stay for a family wedding, and we were very impressed with all aspects of the hotel. Room was excellent, very clean and it was fantastic to have air conditioning on the hottest day of the year! The bed was a little soft, but that would be the only criticism. Also, Joe(?) on reception was excellent. He was very polite and helpful, and did a great job of organising at a very busy breakfast period. Will definitely recommend this hotel.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Otto52 Clean and neat
The rooms were clean and neat and the staff was very accommodating. We travelled to Watford to visit Harry Potter Studios with my wife and three teenage daughters. The staff had no problem having us set up with two adjoining rooms and a common door between them. The breakfast variety was excellent.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Ivyleafs1 Clean, friendly - parking not great
After my first night at the holiday inn I had already decided that this was a good hotel. Polite, friendly staff, rooms clean and tidy. Breakfast was acceptable - bacon would have been nice. However the only down side was the parking I needed my car so was told I need to pay £3 per day I thought this was reasonable given the location however I wasn't told that this did not guarantee me a space, so after a long day out and arriving back at the hotel there were no spaces and initially I was told I need to pay and park in the nearby pub this wasn't far but I think holiday inn needs to rethink this parking issue other than this an excellent hotel and I would stay again

Last weekend my relatives stayed at the hotel they are 84 & 94. They could not say enough about how well they were looked after. I checked in on their behalf and they were attentive and helpful.
Thank you for making their short stay a pleasure. I will definitely use the hotel again.

Great service from the first phone call to checking out, we only stayed one night but were given the best advice about trains into London and where to eat and all important of course where to park.
Staff were great very attentive and room was perfect the price was so competitive we won't be trying anywhere else when we need another room.

I stay here often as it is good value and close to Watford Junction. For food I would recommend the local White Lion pub for a good meal and a couple beers - if you walk out the front, it's about 100m on the left.

In my view anyone who is going to the Harry Potter studio tour this is the best place to stay.A bus picks you up from the railway station which is only minutes away and brings you back....easy

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by PotterFans An excellent base for Harry Potter
The hotel is bright and inviting and the staff are friendly and helpful. It's two minutes from the railway station for easy access. The breakfast buffet is excellent. Our two inter-connecting rooms suited us and our three children perfectly. Its a perfect base for visiting the Harry Potter studios. The Harry Potter shuttle bus leaves from the railway station. The helpful hotel receptionist told us that our start time at Harry Potter was before the first shuttle bus arrival at the studio, and advised us to book a taxi, which worked very well. We asked for a quiet room, and were placed at the front of the hotel, which minimised any noise from the railway.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by MajorMatt Excellent Customer Service
Being in Europe, customer service is usually not a priority but this was definitely not the case at this hotel. The front desk staff was very helpful and provided us with services they weren't obligated to provide prior to us even checking in. The hotel is comfortable and we got a great rate for London on booking.com. The ride into the city from Watford Junction on the METRO can be long (up to 50 minutes# and expensive if you travel during peak hours #0600-0945; 1630-1900) but once you're in the city, London speaks for itself. Definitely recommend this hotel. It's location is away from the hustle of the city making it easy to relax once you've worn yourself out touring.

We've just come back home from a three day stay at a four star hotel in Kensington and the Holiday Inn at Watford Junction was every bit as good and in many instances we would say it was better. The room was bright, very clean and the bathroom excellent. The complimentary buffet breakfast for us was a bonus and whilst you could argue that choices offered were not comprehensive it more than satisfied our taste with a range of hot and cold options. Overall we were extremely satisfied with both the accommodation and the Holiday Inn staff and we look forward to visiting again when we're next down in the London area

As we are from Sheffield, this is an ideal hotel for visiting London and for us, Wembley to watch concerts, It has Free parking and is literally 5 minutes or less to the train station for connection to London, value of money and quality breakfast makes this a nice hotel.

The room was clean and decent size. This HolidayInn Express was extremely convient to the train station. Although everyone we came across said you are staying in Slough??? We thought it was a great place because we only slept & ate breakfast there. We would definately stay there again because the price was right & very convienent for the train and day trips to and from London.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Ed1977 Great location but thats where it ends
The bed was not comfortable (too soft) left my wife feeling queezy. Slept on the sofa bed instead and that has left me with a bad back. Choice of cooked breakfast was not great, sausage, scrambled eggs and beans. A real disappointment especially as other Holiday In Express hotels have been far superior.
