Overall the hotel experience was good. The only complaint I had was that our non-smoking room smelled like smoke. We specifically noted non smoking on the special request. We did notify the front desk, but no accommodations were made. The minute we walked into the room my 7 yr old said "dad, it smells like smoke in the here. He has asthma and fortunately it did not affect him too badly. My recommendation would be to pay attention to detail to ensure that your customers are provide with quality service and a great experience. Thank you...

Our AC was not working properly that night and the staff did want to accommodate us and change rooms but we refuse that night and just wait till morning because our kids is sleeping already. We did had a great night after that. Things happen, i understand, but they accommodated us and that was important.

Very nice Holiday Inn Express. We were able to get a very good nights sleep. We were very comfortable and able to kick back and relax from our drive that day and get ready for the next leg or our trip.

Holiday Inn Express was located on our trip route. The hotel has services needed for stay. Breakfast was very convenient during the stay. The hotel rates were great and helped us to make the decision to stay there.

I've stayed at this location now for multiple nights over the past 10 years and with Holiday Inn Express being one of my preferred brands I can testify that this is one of the best in the HIE Brand of IHG. The property is clean and inviting as the staff is friendly and ready to please. The rooms are the cleanest around and even when something slips through the cracks - the staff are champs at correcting the problem so that you don't even know it happened. One of the attributes I appreciate is that within a 5 minute walk there are multiple dinning opportunity's and a large national retail outlet to cover any needs that you might have. Safety and Security is not a concern either, in all my hotel stays each year - this is the place that I feel the safest at as well. When given a choice over the other lodging choices in Waxahachie, this Holiday Inn Express is a clear winner hands down!

While visiting our son @ SAGU, we stayed here. It is less than 5 minutes from the school and close to many restaurants, Target and Walmart. The facility was absolutely clean and staff was pleasant. The breakfast we enjoyed each morning was great! The KING bed was comfortable. The only complaint is the noise of the air conditioner; each time it turned on, it was loud. The first night it was disturbing but the second night I guess we were too tired to really let it bother us. The bathroom and room itself was large and spacious in comparison to other Holiday Inn Express we have stayed at. There was a lounge chair and stool to relax in while watching TV.

The HI Express in Waxahachie, TX has an outstanding staff that will tend to even the smallest needs or requests. They were very helpful during our 3-day stay. The property location was extremely convenient if you do not have ground transportation... very close to many restaurants and shops. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Front desk staff was very nice. Knowing that we have 4 persons in the room, she gave us four bags of goodies as a benefit of being an IHG rewards club member. Normally I only receive one bag from other hotels.

I rented the 2 room suite for the weekend after Christmas. My family gathered at the hotel and we all had a wonderful time. I really want to point out that the staff, in particular the front desk clerks, were all excellent. They were courteous and pleasant and eager to fulfill any requests that we had. I come to Waxahachie often and will make this my place to stay!

Not sure if all the rooms have the same bed but we were given a handicap room and the bed was very hard, so with my back problem I did not sleep well. I travel a lot and have found Holiday Inn beds to be very confortable. But this was not. Got in late so did not request to change rooms so tolerated the bed.
The staff was great so no fault of Thiers. Just figured it was due to the room being a handicap room. If I stay there again I will check with them to see if they have the standard bed that all the other Holiday Inn's have had. Good location...Ken

This hotel is clean, convenient to restaurants and other businesses. The staff is very friendly.
The breakfast is good (check out the pancake machine).
Only disappointment is missing the Manager's Receptiom after a hard day's work. That used to be the signature amenity.

I was in this property almost about 4/5 month ago. I had no good experience that time also . I did not want to come to this property again. But I did not realize until I got there.I was hoping things might have improved . It was the coldest welcome I had ever received. I believe it was the same staff last time also .She was on the live chat over the cell phone ,unwillingly stand up and checked me in. No recognition of IHG reward club member . The room was not properly cleaned .I came down to request room change, she was still on chat over the phone, did not pay attention. Feel bad I will not go there

Have been a Best Western Fan until recent and started staying at Holiday Inn Express because of business and have been satisfied, however, this stay, I worked until 1:30 am, got to bed at 2...Housekeeping knocked on my door at 9:10 am, wanting to know if I wanted it clean, woke me up. Not cool. I was not happy and could not go back to sleep, so bad day for me. Needs to be addressed. Other than that I enjoyed my stay.

I was very pleased at how neat and clean the hotel was. Location was perfect for shopping and easy access to the highways. The service personnel was very helpful and pleasant to talk to.
Housekeeping had the rooms in great shape. The gym area was clean. There was enough parking, and the pool area was a nice size and the pool was very clean. It was an enjoyable place to stay and relax. I give it a 10.

After our July visit we were looking forward to returning.
Just not the same the KIDS behind the desk were not sure what was going on.
Requested a ADA room. was told all taken then offered a shower seat in a regular room. when I said no the girl called several people then called a customer that they were holding a ADA room for that did not need a ADA room but he wanted ground floor. this person yielded to another room. All this done in my ear shot??
Ran out of food at breakfast two of the three days we were there.
Night clerk did not even know how to reset the breaker to the TV system after the lights went out.
Staff needs training.
