Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel, but needs an update We stay at a lot of HI Expresses. This one has pros and cons. The pros are the staff and service are outstanding. Very helpful, friendly and professional. The main con is that the hotel badly needs an update. The walls and carpets look dated in the rooms, and particularly the hallways and lobby area. They are clean and well maintained, but definitely need updating. Another con is the soundproofing is not nearly as good as other HI Express hotels. We were on the third floor and heard noises above us whenever people moved about. We could also clearly hear the shower turning on in the rooms adjacent to us on the third floor. Finally, the hotel is near a railroad track. While we could hear the trains, they were infrequent. If the soundproofing was better, I don't think this would be an issue. We would stay here again, but expect the property to be updated in the not too distant future. April 23, 2014

To quote guest services " the hotel does its best to honor requests but can not guarantee" so why bother having options if the expectation can't be met. If you order a blue car and the dealer writes your sales agreement and delivers a red and expects you to gleefully pay for red would you return? Think I will be moving away from the IHG family. Guessing these comments will be deleted as they do not praise...I am grateful for the internet and opportunity to share my experience. April 9, 2014

This one has restored my fath a bit in your brand, as I was starting to stay at others hotels after a few bad experiences . The room was good, we had to call the service desk as the toilet wouldn't flush and we were given a plunger to plunger it ourselves. The food was average or a bit more tasteless than some other places we've stayed the milk tasted off. And we think we left our childs glow worm in the room at check out and I told to leave a message for housekeeping when I called. Well who ever was transferring me never got me through and then when I did leave a message its been three weeks and I still haven't heard from them. March 1, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by heat I have had the last 3 stays in the wenatchee motel not pleasant. The last stay u went to my room turned up heat unpacked my stuff. Went to eat dinner and when I came back my room was freezing cold. Ni heat it was freezing cold. The maintance man was on vacation so no one to fix it so I had to pack up and change rooms. I went to the next room and unpacked. I went to put my food in the refood in refrigerator and it was full on water because someone had turned it off. I was not very happy. January 25, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by professional and personal staff earned our loyalty If you have the pleasure of dealing with Brooke or Makayla you'll see what I mean. Our company worked in the area off and on all summer, and even with our constantly changing our reservation they were always accommodating and gracious. Because of that, they will be our first choice in the area for years to come. A side note on the hotel itself; the top floor doesn't have windows that open. At all. Also, the river side of the hotel is all queen beds, and it also seemed to be the side that had the most trouble with the A/C units when it got real hot. Otherwise it's up to the typical holiday inn standard...though the dinner nights are a pretty cool perk. Thanks again ladies, we'll see you next year! January 23, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible bed, most uncomfortable Hotel putting carpet upgrades before customer comfort. Need to upgrade the quality of the beds. We stay at this hotel on average of 8 nights per month, and as of yet, not had a decent night's sleep. January 2, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by great stay We only stayed here one night, but the staff we dealt with were all very friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, and the pool was a big hit with my daughter. We didn't try the breakfast, so we can't speak to how that was, but everything else was nice. Oh, and loved that they allowed pets, too. January 1, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It was nice that the staff is SO nice. My family spent Christmas night at this location while we were in town with family and here are a couple of things that I appreciated. Every staff member we encountered warmly greeted us. In the elevator was a notice to the guests from the manager that stated that cleaning services would be at a minimum to allow the most amount of employees time with their families. They did call them 2 times, but did not quiet them down for long. Don"t believe they ever came up and checked just how loud they were or offer us a room away from the noise. December 26, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Absolutely poor service The room we stayed in was very nice. But when it came down to having breakfast. This was by far the worst experience I ever had in my 8 yrs. of staying with H. I. Epresses. We came down for breakfast at 9:30 and everything was gone, nothing was kept stocked, when the crabby lady doing breakfast finally brought out more eggs, they tasted like finger nail polish/acetone, they were rotten or something so I had my friends try them as well and they had the same reaction so I went to inform your breakfast lady and suggested she try a bite a pull them from the breakfast and she glared at may saying "well I just made them". Very rude never smiled, and was very unaccommodating to the guests. Never socialized nor said good morning just angry and unfriendly. I will never come back to that property again. She could have at least made up for it and apologized and at least keep the breakfast bar stocked...She needs to work on her customer service for sure. December 18, 2013

Great location next to Wendy's and Starbucks. Wallmart just across the street for shopping. We will come back and stay here again. December 3, 2013

We stayed at the Holiday Express Inn two nights to join the rest of the parents and team members. We were very impressed with the wonderful hospitality, accommodations and their wonderful breakfasts. Can't say enough about the place. We will seek out Holiday Express Inn's when ever we travel. Thank you for such a wonderful place to stay. November 27, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Extras make this HIE special This is a rare HIE in the chain that regularly serves beer & wine along with "comfort food" every Monday through Wednesday from 5 to 7 pm, plus milk & cookies after 7 every night. Great extra for guests. I wish more HIE's would do this. Overall great experience, and will definitely stay here on my next visit to the area. Rooms, breakfast & staff were all excellent. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 A great place to stay. A real value. We stay at this property twice a year on our way to Twisp to visit family. Carol in food service is the ultimate hostess. She makes you feel like you are guests in her home. She has been there for 11 years and she does a great job with both the morning breakfast buffet and on some nights, an evening snack. My only suggestion is that they close the inner front doors when it is so cold outside. There is a sensor on the front doors and they open anytime someone walks up on foot or even when a car drives thru the entrance unloading area. It is cold and drafty when you are sitting in the dining area with those 2nd set of doors propped open. The morning we were there the GM was sitting at his desk in the lobby with a parka on so he must have been cold also. Just a positive,constructive suggestion. We'll still be back! November 20, 2013

Fröhlich, unheimlich nett, so muss eine Angestellte sein und mit den Gästen umgehen. Das war pefekt. Schlage Gehaltserhöhung vor. :-) Das Hotel selbst ist direkt an der Hauptstrasse gelegen. Flagstaff Feeling, Bahnlinie direkt in Greifweite hinter einer hochgezogenen Mauer versteckt. Züge sind näher als in manch Flagstaff Hotels. Wasserdruck Dusche: ist noch in Ordnung, man bekommt die Seife in normaler Zeit wieder runter Zimmer: geht so, könnte neuer sein, sind sauber Betten: durchgelegen, echt schlecht Hoteleindruck: geht so, könnte neuer sein Lautstärke: absolut Mangelhaft, da eine Bahnlinie unmittelbar hinter dem Hotel ist Parkplätze sind ausreichend vorhanden und kostenlos WLAN ist kostenlos und die Daten werden beim einchecken mitgegegeben Das Frühstück ist für die Hotelklasse ok, allerdings die Unmengen von Abfall die entstehen sind schlimm. Wie wäre es mal mit Geschirr zum Spülen. Microwelle und Kühlschrank im Zimmer vorhanden Klimaanlage ist recht leise Pool ist vorhanden, wie bei allen HI-Ex recht klein Die Verdunklung des Zimmer durch die Vorhänge ist sehr gut Für Holiday Inn Clubmitglieder gibt es eine Geschenktüte mit Getränken, etc. Wünsche im Vorfeld bei der Buchung wie zb. oberes Stockwerk und weit weg vom Aufzug wurden erfüllt. Dieses Hotel beteiligt sich am "GreenEngage" Programm, um den Gästen zu zeigen wie Energie und Müll gespart werden kann. Allerdings solange weiterhin Glühbirnen vor sich hinheizen und beim Frühstück Tellerschäumlinge, Plastikbesteck etc. benutzt werden, kann von Energiesparen keine Rede sein. Fazit: dieses Hotel ist absolut nicht empfehlenswert, (bis auf Brooke) da viel zu laut und zu dicht an der Bahnlinie, wer allerdings nachts gerne Zügen beim vorbei fahren zusehen möchte, sollte dieses Hotel in die engere Wahl nehmen.
