Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by An unusual hotel change! I was originally booked at the new Holiday Inn in Lantana, Fl. However when I noticed that the hotel had a construction delay, and would not be completed in time for my stay I called customer service. I was changed to the property in West Palm Beach at the lower rate and had a wonderful stay. They could not have been nicer, and I will plan on this hotel for next year. Michelle, the front desk manager was my advocate and she should be commended for her effort. January 17, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient place to stay in West Palm Beach This hotel is a little off the beaten track in terms of the usual places to stay in West Palm; however, it is a great place to stay if you are in town for business or leisure. It is convenient to I-95, which puts you just a few minutes from downtown or the beach. We were in town for a meeting at the convention center in the middle of downtown. It took me no time at all to get to my conference every morning, and the hotel was in a quiet area that made sleep easier. The staff here really try hard and, overall, I would have to rate this hotel as one of the best at which I have stayed recently (and I travel a lot). January 11, 2015

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by poor room By using rewards night, I was assigned a poor room close to the lounge. In this room, Wi-Fi signal is very poor so I have to use my own smart phone data instead. Also, at night, I can hear the sound like peeing in the bathroom but can not find where it comes from...I guess the front desk staff should see I bring my daughter 3 months old only when I checked in. However, she unusually gave a call to ask if everything is ok at about 11 pm, which waked the infant. So I felt very uncomfortable since I never see that the front desk staff will call without any request. Also, she is impatient to answer questions, when I asked if I can get the welcome bonus. As a platinum member, I don't get the room what I should have as well as until now I am still not getting the welcome bonus as promised! January 7, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not a typical IHG property visit After check-in, I checked into my room and noticed the refrigerator was warm on the inside, upon inspection, I noticed the knob used to adjust the temperature was missing. I went to the front desk and informed the clerk there of the situation, and he and he in turn told me how to adjust the cooling, after I told him the adjustment knob was missing. He then informed me that maintenance worker will be in a 6PM that evening, no problem. Low and behold I woke up the next morning the maintenance person never showed to repair the fridge. As I mentioned to the manager, the maintenance person probable showed up and decided to sleep through their shift because, the fridge was not fixed especially after I gave the front desk permission for the maintenance person to enter the room in my absence. There was no note or anything in the room that I found providing evidence the maintenance and visited in my absence, along with the fridge still being broke the next morning. Also, when I was at the front desk, I asked the same man, about the washing machine, cost and how long is the cycle. He provided the cost, but an ambiguous answer to the length of the wash cycle. I wanted to know the length of the cycle so that I could plan to return around the time the end of the cycle was reached. Also, the washing machine water flow was very slow to fill the tube and the cycle ran almost an hour. During this period, a female front desk clerk arrived and I asked for her assistance since the man at the front desk was somewhat clueless. She was very helpful; though the washing machine cycle did not speed up, she was kind enough to keep an eye on it for me, and to ensure that a note was left for maintenance about the fridge in my room. I attempted to use the fitness room that evening, but could not stand the stench, a moldy funky smell. Okay, it’s a gym like setting, but smelled of lack of adequate cleaning and disinfecting. Elevator usage, housekeeping should not hold up the elevator unless an emergency. I waited an extended period of time for the elevator. When the elevator reached the 1st floor, it was housekeeping with a cart Lastly, the next morning when I woke up and went to the front desk I ask the clerk what the manager’s name is, he looked at me turned grabbed a business car and handed it to me. What a lazy to respond to a simple question, ok well enough after what I went through concerning the fridge and the washing machine, I would have been optimistic to expect more. I only spent 1 night there, thankfully. I had to check out prior to the manager arriving; however, I called her once I reached my next destination and explained all of the above. As I’ve stated to her (Michelle), I’ve stayed at IHG properties around the country and that property by far is not what I expected in quality and service. Not to mention, I wasted lots of my frequent stay points to stay there. January 5, 2015
