During stay, we had 2 overnight fire alarms that woke me up after 10PM. When calling the front desk and asking if I needed to get out of the room, they receptionist only offered a one word answer "no"
My assuption this is now that the hotel was having some sort of a malfunction with the system, and that the receptionist would have at least offered up an "I am sorry for the trouble and waking you up" but that was not the case and less than impressive.

Hotel itself was good. it was just the noise form the adjoining highway.

The bed was so old it sagged to the middle; the swimming pool had poop or other fibrous substances in the kid’s area. Then, it had similar items the next day, yet the chlorine levels were so high it stung the eyes. The breakfast staff had cold food out, plus could not keep up with the demand. Had to wait 20 minutes just for cold scrambled eggs. Refused to allow customers to use the juice machine. Put the juice in three pitchers’ in an ice bath. When you tried to remove one, all three would tip over onto the floor soaking our 2-year-old in juice. We stayed three days, and it was a similar experience each day, not just a bad day for the staff - Consistent extremely poor service. The telephones in the room worked the first day. Then did not work the next two days. The WIFI kept going out. Had to go down to front desk to ask them to reboot their server – yet it kept going up and down. The service and quality of this hotel is so poor it was definitely not worth the high price to stay. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. A real disappointment compared to the other Holiday Inn Expresses we’ve stayed at over the past year.
