Overall my stay was acceptable but the house keeping staff was an extreme disappointment. The front desk staff was exceptional, specifically Lucas who should be recognized for his professionalism and courtesy. He does a great job and it really shows that he appreciates his job and is extremely motivated. I observed this not only with my interaction with him but also when he was assisting other guests at check-in or otherwise. This was very impressive to see that someone cares about what’s happening and how it affects the overall operation. John was also very helpful and professional. I rated the staff and service poor because of the house keeping service. On Saturday I left early to start the day’s activities. I returned to the room at about 6 PM to find a do not disturb sign in the door that i didn't put there. I was puzzled and when I opened the door the room was not serviced. I happened to notice that there was another do not disturb sign on the inside of the door which confirms to me that the sign left on the outside was placed there by someone other than me who I believe was the housekeeper. I believe that she was managing her workload by avoiding work and not cleaning all the rooms. I went to the front desk to request towels and mentioned it to John who informed me that there was a record that someone in the room declined service. I told him that I left early in the morning and I did not have a do not disturb sign in the door. No one was there all day to decline service. He seemed to be at a loss for words but was courteous and professional about it. he stated that he would mention it to management but i responded that it wouldn't be necessary, i just wanted it to be something he was aware of since it was likely to happen again. As a guest it leaves you with a bad feeling knowing dishonest people have access to your personal items. Thank you.

Kind of disappointing compared to other Holiday Inn Express hotels. They actually need to shut down for a couple of weeks and do their remodeling and repairs.
The first night I had to change rooms because the Air conditioner was not working. The second room was not much better. They came up and cleaned the filter but the only way I could get the Air conditioner to work was to take it off auto and run on high.
There was no fitness room because the were remodeling the room.
I did not have any appetite in mornings due to the smell of glues and other construction smells.
Not a comfortable stay. May be better after remodelling

The stay at the Holiday Inn was good but remodeling underway in lobby area and check in a little awkward. The room was clean but the floor at the entrance to the room was uneven and the door got stuck open upon entering or leaving the room. The bathroom fan was rather noisy. The room was set up for a business traveler with a desk set up taking most of the room and there was no convenient spot with outlets and mirror to do my hair besides the bathroom. The room was fairly quiet, it was clean, the shower was good and the bed was comfortable.
