Room was good, staff was friendly, breakfast not so much. If you are looking for a hot breakfast like advertised, you are better off going next door to McD's. But if you just need a place to stay, then it's a good place to stop.

After 9 hours of foggy highway traffic, I needed to rest. Awesomely enough, I found the Holiday Inn while fueling up and decided it was time to rest my head. Check in was super simple, my rooms was close to the stairs so that made it easy to go to and from my truck. Extremely happy to stay here again if I need to head up the 5FWY.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 916biztraveller Great Wi-Fi, lots of TV channels
I have to travel a lot for work. This hotel makes being away from home during the week more comfortable. The internet is fast (I've stayed at other Holiday Inn Expresses that have had such unreliable/slow WiFi, that I broke down and paid my cell phone provider extra money each month just for the privilege of viewing the same data I already pay for on my laptop instead of on my phone...).
This property has DirecTV, and there are about 10 channels of HBO, two Cartoon Network channels, and all the other usual basic suspects.
The breakfast is what I've seen at all the other Holiday Inn Expresses: cinnamon rolls, biscuits and gravy, some sort of eggs (alternating scrambled or omelette), cereals, coffee, etc.
My only complaint about the breakfast is that the coffee is just your typical "house blend." There isn't a French, Italian, or darker roast (I have had experiences with other Holiday Inn Expresses offering French roast).
Another nice touch here is that, on some occasions, they bake some fresh chocolate chip cookies and have them out in the lobby around 6:30 PM or so. I would have grabbed them all and not let anyone else have any, but I didn't have enough milk.
One negative (depending upon your point of view, this could be a positive), is that since this right next to I-5 and a truck stop, you will get the oddball tractor and trailer taking up about 8 parking spots. This hasn't caused a problem, yet, because on the one night where there were three trucks and a bus taking up all the parking, there was exactly one spot left for me to park for the night. Otherwise, I might have had to double park. But, there is generally enough parking to go around.

This was a nice stop after driving Interstate 5. They are pet friendly which was a priority. Nice clean rooms. The area surrounding this hotel is rather 'agricultural' in odor but once inside the room there was no odor problem. Tiny gym had only a stationary bike, treadmill and TV but at least it all worked. We agreed we would stop here again.

We travel yearly between British Columbia, Canada and Yuma, Az. We try to gage our travel to stop at Wesley, CA. every time. Phyllis, the Mgr., runs an excellent operation there at the Holiday Inn Express. The staff is very friendly, and never fail to "welcome us back". Makes us feel valued. Our ONLY recommendation would be to not take the first 3 ground floor rooms.[ on the Chevron side] No fault of the hotel.. but the Chevron gas station, next door, receives middle of the night deliveries and it is very noisy. Over all we are very happy staying there and will continue as long as we travel this route.
