The hotel hallways were very smelly and the smell permeated into my room which was disturbing during my stay, the room was hot and the A/C system souldnt cool it down. not a great stay as I would expect much better from a holiday inn

Overall our stay was excellent.
The rooms were clean and the staff was incredible.
There was some construction going on in the parking lot, but that was not a concern to me.
If I was to make any comments on improvements, it would be the following:
I could not get the internet to work on my computer and was too tired to call the front desk to assist me in resolving the problem.
We had a suite and the television had some issues in the sitting area. It kept shutting off and not all the channels worked.
Not a problem, as I watched TV in the bedroom as that television worked fine.

As travel advisors working in the Georgian Bay area we often have to visit clients and business associates in the GTA so we take this opportunity to stay at various GTA properties. We have stayed at the hotel next door and decided to try the Holiday Inn Express this time. We arrived late in the evening but the desk manager greeted us warmly and had our room and keys ready to go. The room was your standard HI which was clean, functional and comfortable. The king size bed was most comfortable and we had a great sleep. Breakfast was included in the morning which consists of your standard fare scrambled egg/sausage/muffins/bagels/ yogurt etc. The coffee was all we were interested in so I cannot comment on the quality of the offerings. Checkout went smoothly. Only negative was that the parking lot was under construction at the time, but that could be a good thing for following customers.
