Had a great stay while passing through the area on a business trip. The hotel is comfortable and the breakfast area is one of the nicer ones I have been in. Nice open area with lots of windows and sunshine streaming in.
Really like the underground parking. It is something you do not normally find at hotels in smaller cities but is really nice when you are in snowy areas like Vermont.

I stayed at this hotel while my mother was at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. It was adequate and less expensive than hotels on the New Hampshire side of the river.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by hez31 Beds uncomfortable linens poor quality heating poor
The mattresses and linens were uncomfortable and pillows were lousy.
Pull out sofa was a horror and the extra blanket had holes in it.
Heating was lacking.
Couldn't watch TV from beds only from sofa....should be 2 TVs in the suites.
Room was not cleaned well each day.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by charley6 Convenient to where we were going.
It was conveniently located to the sights we wanted to see and it was nice to have an underground garage because of the snow we had on Saturday. It was close to the New Hampshire border where we went to eat because there weren't much in the way of nice restaurants in White River Junction.
The hotel was nice and clean but the furnishings were a little dated and the king size bed was old (the mattress was OK but you could feel the springs underneath.)
The breakfast offered a wide variety but not gourmet food.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Retirement Travels Gluten Free Breakfast Choices
In addition to the regular breakfast items there were several new gluten free choices. There were GF blueberry muffins and english muffins, prepackaged UDI brand items that were excellent.
These were new from the last time we stayed here - over a year ago.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by WillieNelsonLookALike Gluten Free Breakfast
We have stayed here several times - the last time over a year ago (sometime in 2013) and this time there were several gluten free items available for breakfast. Thank you! In the past I have complained that there was little to choose from. I am a Celiac and must eat GF meals - it is not optional for me.
This time, there was a cold cereal choice, Corn Flakes, and GF bagels and GF blueberry muffins. The bagels and muffins were prepackaged items from UDI's (brand name) and were excellent.
I hope more and more HI-Express hotels follow suit.
Everything else about this hotel is excellent.
You can be certain we will be back.
