The room had a bad odor and I was informed that they were renovating and that all the rooms smelt that way...like burning oil.

Probably the best Holiday Inn I have stayed. Huge lobby and breakfast area. Easy and safe parking. Great staff. Pool opened late (10am), could not use it.

This was our second stay at this hotel and we plan to be back next year for Merlefest. The manager has been very helpful to us and she keeps the breakfast buffet well stocked. Everyone on the staff is friendly and personable.

I had en eventful weekend and drove 1070 miles on Sunday to be in Wilkesboro, NC because I had a 5:45 AM start time on Monday. Arrived Sunday night at about 11:20 PM for check in. Asked for a 5 AM wake-up call and tried to get to sleep ASAP. Unfortunately I awoke at 5:40 AM on Monday due to the fact that I didn't receive a wake-up call. I don't like to be late for anything, least of all work on a Monday morning. This is not the way I wanted to start my Monday or my week!

We were in town for family memorial service. We were impressed with everything about our stay. The staff was courteous and helpful. Our rooms were spotless. The best reasonably priced motel we ever had the pleasure of visiting. Would heartily recommend it to anyone. And not to forget the full breakfast. even the eggs were good! The children especially liked the automatic pancake machine. they thought it was so cool to push a button and watch two fresh pancakes come off the mini-conveyor. Like magic!!!

During our stay as well as previously, the beds were extremely terrible and need to be replaced. However the servers both behind the desk and in the food area was extremely helpful and wonderful to deal with.
I believe however, the beds are hard enough that I could not in good health stay at that Holiday again unless they were changed.

I stay at the Holiday in Wilksboro very often for my job and I like it a lot. The staff is really friendly and helpful and the rooms are always clean and cozy. I also love the complementary cookies : ) The hotel is in a very convenient location which is great! The only thing I can say is that the breakfast isn't amazing. Its pretty standard, nothing spectacular. But I still highly recommend staying here.

Was very pleased with our stay. I've stayed in many motels, but the staff here was very pleasant and friendly, the room was very clean and the breakfast had many choices. Had a good nights sleep as it was very quiet and comfortable. Will plan to stay here again ASAP. Extend to your staff my appreciation.

Our family has stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Wilkesboro for years on the weekend after Thanksgiving. That is our lodging location when we go to the mountains for our Christmas tree. The staff are always so polite and efficient. The room was very clean.

The location is very convenient with lots of places close by. The staff were polite and friendly. Very nice breakfast. We loved the cinnamon rolls! We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is well situated to visit several sites; traffic was not an issue. Several restaurants and shopping is available. The room was very comfortable as well as the morning breakfast. I strongly recoommend the stay at this hotel. The staff was very helpful with the Prioirty Rewards Program.

I was impressed with the decor in this hotel and large guest rooms with a comfortable chair and bed. Free great hot breakfast with eggs and bacon/sausage and pancakes and lots more. The staff was very friendly and helpful

We will not be back to this property again. Upon attempting to check in at 3:30 on our arrival Saturday, we were told there were no clean rooms available. The excuse given was that the property had been fully booked over the Friday night (which was really not our problem). The desk staff had to be asked to call housekeeping to get an idea of when a room would be available. And, it seemed there was no effort made to put a cleaning crew to work on a king room right away to solve the problem.
Approximately 30 minutes later, a non-smoking king room was provided as reserved. Unfortunately, the room smelled like it had been converted from a smoking room about three days before. Ugh!
Based on the staff's indifference and the nonsmoking smoking room, we will not be back here again.
