Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Renovations The hotel is undergoing renovations and I believe they should have closed the facility, renovated and then reopened. There is no clear entrance, sheets of plastic are hanging everywhere, and our room was in a very noisy area. Very disappointing. March 15, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Front desk folks always helpful... This hotel is one I stop at frequently when traveling for work. It's always clean. The front desk folks always helpful. The only problem this time around was that they were under construction and no one warned me when I called for a reservation. It would have helped me to know that the elevator wasn't working. I have LOTS of stuff that I lug around with me for work that I can't leave in the car. I normally rate this hotel a five star but I felt because of the issues they were having, the rooms should have been discounted. The room rate was definitely higher than it should have been... We were pleasantly surprised to find a HIE southeast of Tucson. We had an apparently false impression (or maybe just an old impression) that HIEs were usually only in metropolitan areas or near major airports. January 29, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Best of few options If you are traveling I-8 and I-10 across southern Arizona, your lodging options outside of Tucson are very limited. This Holiday Inn Express is your best option if visiting Tombstone, or any of the area's national parks. Access is very easy just off Interstate 10. The room rate is lower than the average HI Express. The room and facilities are nice, standard HI Express amenities. There was no mention of my Priority Club status at checkin, however. Willcox is an interesting little town. There's a tourist information center next door to the hotel. Eat at the Dining Car, a BBQ restaurant in an old Pullman train car in downtown Willcox. A scenic drive south takes you to Fort Bowie historic site or Chriicahua National Monument which offers great scenery by car or trail. October 15, 2012

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Poor room I have been using motels/hotels for 45 years, and have used Holiday Inn express almost exclusively for the last year. I was very dissapointed upon checkin to find NO refrigerator, and or microwave. Upon complaining to the front desk, they sent a refirgerator up to the room, however it was hard to use as the door scraped the carpet whenever it was opened or closed. The chairs were extremely uncomfortable, and it was very hard to spend as much time in the room as we normally do. On the positive side, the beds were comfortable, so sleep was not a problem. We will be finding other accomedations tne next tome we go to Willcox October 14, 2012
