Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Housekeeping Very poor. Room not ready more than 2-1/2 hours after checkin time. The next day my room was not properly cleaned nor serviced by housekeeping even though it was 5:00pm when I returned to the room. The room itself was comfortable, good mattress and pillows. It was also quiet on my floor. I do not think that this hotel rated the "Express" designation however. May 20, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice place to overnight Just as we've come to expect with Holiday Inn Express, the hotel was ready and waiting for us when we arrived with a clean room and a responsive staff. To tell the truth, we're getting a little tired of the same breakfast at all locations all the time, so I would suggest getting some new items out there, or changing with the seasons. But we do love the HI Express brand for its reliability. May 12, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Weekend Away The hotel is in a great location for all of the attractions. The staff was friendly and courteous. The only issue I had was the room was very dusty. You can tell it had not been used in awhile. Other than that, the room was fine. May 12, 2015

Comfortable accommodations and restful atmosphere. We especially enjoyed watching the duck that stood guard at the door. The grandchildren dubbed the duck "Miss Quackenton". May 11, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good rooms - service not so much The hotel is conveniently located, and the room appointments are up to date and comfortable. One big caveat - do not expect timely service from the front desk! When attempting to check in at 11:00 pm after a long day, I was greeted with an empty front desk with a sign indicating person at the front desk would return "soon." After waiting almost 10 minutes I called "Is anyone available?" Finally, after another 5 or so minutes, a man arrived and said "Can I help you?" I said I'd like to check in. No apology, no "I'm sorry to keep you waiting, " and no acknowledgement of our Platinum status. He checked me in quickly and we went to our room. In the morning, we were again greeted with no person at the front desk and waited (only 5 minutes this time - I guess I should be grateful) until the lady handling the desk arrived and politely checked us out. Afterwards my wife and I discussed the experience and came to the same conclusion - we visit Williamsburg regularly and this Holiday Inn Express could have been our #1 choice, except for the spotty service. Consequently, I recommended the hotel (see above) but be aware that you may not enjoy great (or any!) service from the front desk personnel. May 7, 2015

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Williamsburg North Stay Room was poorly laid out. Desk should have located next to window so that other people in room could get up without interfering someone work at desk. The bathroom was small with little room to move about. Food selection the same every day. No cookies available for evening. (Staff said manager did not offer cookies.) Coffee was cold or just warm and no hot water for tea in eating area. We could hear kids in hallway and rooms. I was not recognized as a Priority Club Member May 5, 2015
