Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service with the Exception of the Initial Cleanliness of the Room The front desk staff went above and the call of duty for me, but before I get into that let me touch briefly on the initial cleanliness of our room. 1st there was a distinct odor in the room (which turned out to be Parmesan cheese that had been spilled and could have been easily vacuumed up as part of the cleaning process. I swept it up and tossed it out and sprayed area with Fabreze. 2nd found a frozen drink in the refrigerator which should have been part of a room check by the cleaning staff. 3rd found a dirty pair of socks made up in one of the beds which led me to question whether the sheets had been changed. I'm glad I had my disinfectant spray with me. Now the good part... During my stay in Williamsburg I injured my knee and leg. I made an effort to treat it myself but by the morning that I was supposed to leave I realized that medical attention was necessary. The person at the front desk came to my room to help me to my car and was clearly attentive and concerned about my getting to the urgent care facility. She also later showed her concern for me and helped me get my things to my car and in my car at check out. I can't express how much this one person's action meant to me. In all that transpired I did not get her name but I am forever grateful. August 19, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent except breakfast Friendly staff, comfortable room. Everything was great about this hotel except breakfast. Our overall experience was excellent until we encountered breakfast. I don't know if it was due to understaffing or just what but everything kept running out. First there was no bacon. I waited in line for the bacon to be replenished and when it was, there were only about 8 - 10 pieces all of which was taken by the 3 or 4 people in front of me. It was replaced several times while I was there but I never got any because there was always someone ahead of me taking what little bit was brought out. The eggs tasted very powdered. The sausage didn't taste like sausage--it tasted like hamburger that was a few days old. Then the coffee ran out. I waited and waited for it to be refilled and finally gave up and went back to my room and fixed some coffee. Our overall feeling about the hotel would have been more positive had breakfast not been offered. August 17, 2014
