Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by spoiled long weekend July 2015 The staff is extremely nice. Christine at the front desk is such an asset to the hotel. Mary the housekeeping lady is another helpful staff member. She is also an asset to the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. I really wanted to buy their pillows since they were so comfy. The property is well cared and the parking space plenty. Once in a while you will find someone parking on two parking space making it inconvenient to squeeze in when returning late at night. The indoor pool is very convenient but the chlorine smell is very strong in the hallway. Truly a relaxing hotel after a very long day of excursion. Will recommend this hotel to anyone seeking an affordable getaway. July 29, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bad Mattress makes for a poor evening Me and my wife have stayed several times at this Holiday Inn location and were completely satisfied with each visit except this one. We unfortunately was put in the handicap accessible room and the bed had no support so that when me and my wife entered, it was basically like a bowl. We did not sleep that evening. I mentioned to the staff in the morning and she was like "we just replaced all the mattresses in all the rooms". She had a slight attitude about it as well. She said she would have maintenance look at it. I hope for the sake of the next guest, the bed is fixed. July 29, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Really bad experience I would not stay in this Holiday Inn ever again. The 3 pm check-in time means 3 pm or later. My room was not ready even after I checked in after 3 pm. The next day the room was not cleaned at all and when I complained, I was told the cleaning staff was not on duty any more. There was no hot water in the shower and there was a roach in the bathtub. The front desk staff was rude and not helpful at all. They all acted like they had better things to do than deal with guests. The whole experience was awful. July 28, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Room and service I enjoyed staying at Holiday Inn in Williamsburg. The room was excellent. I enjoyed swimming in the pool and was glad to not have to go out somewhere for breakfast. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. July 19, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Bathroom floor mess When I went into the bathroom I was shocked that the floor was covered in strands of long, dark hair. I rushed to clean the floor myself, as my daughter was due to arrive within 15 minutes and I knew if she saw this, she would have insisted that we stay elsewhere. The beds were very comfortable, the staff was very friendly. The thought of that hair all over the bathroom floor had me wondering if the rest of the room had been cleaned. July 17, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Clean rooms but inattentive staff When travelling, I try to stay at Holiday Inn Express. However after this experience, I may start looking outside the box. Before I even arrived, I had a bad feeling about this hotel. I had a couple of questions to ask about our arrival and called the hotel on two different days, once in the afternoon and once towards the evening. BOTH times the phone just rang and rang. I thought it was weird that no one would answer the front desk phone. Once I arrived, I realized why no one answered the phone. There was no one at the front desk to even greet you. I stood at the front desk a good five minutes thinking they must have a camera somewhere to see me standing there but nothing. I finally rang the bell and a women came out from a room off to the side. She clearly had to have heard me talking and known I was there but didn't bother to come out. Once she came out, there was no apology or anything. It was not a very good way to start our stay. The room was clean and didn't have a "hotel" odor, however the A/C never turned off the whole 2 days we were there even though we set it at 75 degrees auto. The room just became very humid/ wet or very cold. The pillows/bed were super uncomfortable as well. The next morning we didn't want them to clean our room but we didn't have a sign for our door handle. As we were heading out the door, I asked the front desk person to make sure our room was not cleaned. She rudely asked me if I put a sign on the door. I told her our room did not have one. We were clearly on our way out for the day, however she gives me the door sign and says, you have to put this on the door or they will clean it. I think it would have been nicer to ask what room number we were in and offer to hang it on the door for us as we had all our gear and everyone was waiting to go to the parks. It's the little above and beyond things I've experienced at other Holiday Inn Express hotels that have made a difference in our stay. I must say it is the first time I have regretted staying at a Holiday Inn Express because of the staff and their attitude. Most other times we've stayed, it was the staff that made the difference. Unfortunately, the next time we visit this area we will be looking at other options. July 16, 2015
