Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by No direct reservations We've been staying at this hotel every time we came to Williamsburg for the past several years. So, when we needed a place to stay at the last minute because of issues at our house, we called the hotel directly to make a reservation. We were told we had to either use the toll free phone number or go on line to make the reservations. The person on the phone couldn't even tell us if there were any rooms available. Outside of that inconvenience, we enjoyed the stay. The morning staff are always friendly and helpful. June 21, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Wheelchair accessible rooms have beds too high The bed in the only wheelchair accessible room was at least 6" higher than the seat of my husband's wheelchair. It required me to lift and push him into the bed. The inexplicable thing is that the "newly renovated room" had risers under the feet of the bed to make it higher! I wonder if the person who supervised this renovation has ever even met a person in a wheelchair. We are Priority Club members and the room was so difficult that we cut our stay short. June 20, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Ideal location to see or local attractions A good hotel that was let down by missing out on those extras you expect from an HIE branded hotel. We had a great room, free from any kind of noise. However during our 3 day stay the cleaning staff on different occasions failed to provide replacement soap, coffee, toilet roll and a newspaper. That said the hotel is ideally located to take in all local attractions and the front desk team are very good. May 17, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great overnight stay We had a one night stay in Williamsburg and this was a perfect place to stay. Great location! The pool water was warm in the winter and our daughter loved playing in it. A tad disappointed in the breakfast, we went down there around 8:30am and there were no biscuits left. My husband was disappointed and waited for more, but there was no kitchen staff to be seen. Not a big deal, but it disappointed my biscuit-loving husband. February 5, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by EXCELLENT HOTEL The staff here is phenomenal! From the moment we walked in, everyone was so accommodating and thoughtful. It was around midnight when we arrived, with a toddler, and "Cassandra" behind the desk offered to get us some milk for him to help get him settled and to bed. It was great having a pool to swim in, and all the staff interacted with our son and us, and breakfast in the morning was great. The rooms are very clean and neat. Excellent location, but it's really the friendliness and the hospitality of the staff that keeps us coming back to this location annually! January 31, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by You Get What You Pay For! Everytime you think you are getting a good deal, you end up with something below average. Pool did not look clean (so we didn't use it#. Mattress' need updated/replaced #my back hurt in the morning and I don't usually have trouble sleeping in different beds#. We found a half eaten cracker on the floor in our room and we DID NOT have ANY food in the room. HUMM! To top it off, breakfast is advertised as goingf until 9:30 AM. We went down at 9 AM, the place was packed #meaning the hotel was full# and there was no milk and very little left of much of anything else except eggs. They were even out of coffee for about 20 minutes. Now if I was the manager and I knew we had a full house for the night, I'd make sure we had enough supplies for breakfast. Normally enjoy Holiday Inn Express but not this one. January 9, 2014

Its appears to be new with large clean lobby. Large breakfast area. Our room had 2 flat screen TVs. Rooms up to date & quiet. Located on a main road with many restaurants & shops. Short distance to Outlet shops and William & Mary College. Will stay here again. November 27, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel with great staff We spent two nights here and were thoroughly impressed with the hotel, its staff and location. The room were amazing - clean, comfortable, well presented and no problems at all. If there is one issue it is that you need to bend sidewards and backwards to get to the toilet paper. Apart from that it was perfect. Even the laundry room is so clean that you could eat your dinner off the floor - and believe me, most laundries don't fit that description. Lots of local restaurants to choose for dinner, close to everything but not a noisy location. Breakfast was great each morning and included in the room price. We would certainly return here! Upon our arrival we found a half used bar of soap on the floor of the bathroom, stray hairs in the tub, toilet, and sink, and a thick layer of dust covering most of the room. Even my son rubbed his finger across the counter and said, "Gross!" We decided to not swim in the empty, green pool. I was awakened at 12:30 am with an allergic reaction to all of the dust! After going down to breakfast, our disappointment continued with stale doughnuts and tasteless sausage. Never again! November 20, 2013

All questions we had about area were answered and directions were available to all places we wanted to visit. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable Room was comfortable and for the most part clean. It could use a thorough spring cleaning as my mother used to say, but it was only for one night. Hotel is in a great location with the The College of William and Mary, shopping, Colonial Williamsburg and great restaurants all fairly close. Bed was very comfortable. Added treat of a family of deer grazing in the open lot next to the hotel, a sight you don't see in the city very often November 18, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice hotel We stayed at this hotel 6 yrs. ago & returned over the Veteran's Day weekend this month. The hotel was clean, quiet and the staff was very polite and helpful. I have severe sensitivities to fragrances, cleaning products and chlorine. I requested that room sprays not be used and that our room would be away from the pool. Holiday Inn has always been very accomodating to my needs and I , truly, appreciate it. Our shower curtain rod was loose but was fixed immediately. I would like to suggest a few rooms without carpet ( tile only) for people with allergies to avoid dust and carpet odors. You would be surprised how difficult it is to travel and how scary it is for many. Going away for a fun relaxing time can end up a total nightmare if exposed to the wrong things. Only negative was some missed dust on the headboards, lamps and TV. I always travel with some natural cleaning wipes, so it wasn't a problem and everything else was perfect. Really enjoyed the breakfast each morning! Thank you, and we hope to return next year and not have to wait another 6 years! November 16, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by great location The easy access to shopping and attractions makes this a great location to stay. Room was comfortable even though it could have used a through cleaning. Noise from other guests was at time annoying however thats a chance you take when staying in a hotel. Added bonus for us was watching the family of deer in a vacant lot next to the hotel as they grazed lazily. Not everyday you see this in an urban setting November 16, 2013
