Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The Staff and accomodations were Great!!! I held my Family Reuion at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites. It was a perfect location and my Family Loved it! The GM had been working with me for over a yr. She was very accomodating, friendly & professional. Not just with matters dealing with the Hotel but with arranging our trip to the Bowling alley as well. There was nothing & I do mean nothing that she wasn't able to handle. The initial meeting room we'd reserved was not available and she was able to give us a room that suited the family much better. The Staff was great and I have to say the young man at the front Desk was one of the Best Front Desk Agents I've had the pleasure of dealing with. I would definitely reccommend this Hotel and will use them in any upcoming events we may have in Wilson.... August 11, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Stay at the Holiday Inn Express Wilson Downtown Can't say enough nice things about this property. The staff were all fantastic and Reggie at the front desk went out of his way to help out wherever he could. All guests were treated like family (the family you like - not that weird Aunt Mary kind of family). Rooms were clean and comfortable and for the price you can't beat it. Breakfast hit the spot - again not gourmet but hot and protein packed. Happy hour each night was very generous and it was nice to see who else was staying at the hotel. I did not use the fitness center, pool or business center but all looked well maintained. I will definitely stay here when my travels bring us back to Wilson. Bonus - it is not far from Bill's BBQ:) August 11, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Clean Hotel with Friendly Staff This was a great place to stay in downtown Wilson - very comfortable. Property was well maintained and staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was properly appointed and beds were comfortable. Breakfast selection was very good, and quality was slightly better than average for a "stocked" breakfast. August 11, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not that great The hotel bathroom was was all over the bathroom floor. The sleep sofa was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on. The metal spokes were poking through the mattress. A used sheet was left on the sleep sofa. There were no directions for pool, ice machine, etc. For a "suite" room, there was only 1 TV, which was in the king bed area. There was no wall or door separation for the sleep sofa. I would definitely not stay here again. August 3, 2014

The breakfast had two meats- bacon and sausage, real eggs, biscuits, wonderful hot cinnamon rolls and staff kept the food coming. The hotel is worth the drive off of I-95. July 29, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Front Desk Staff very helpful Some confusion regarding reservations....had to stay at another Holiday Inn for one night but staff were helpful in finding accommodations. Upon returning to this hotel for my next two reserved nights, I had to wait from 3 PM till 6 PM for the room to be serviced. The next day no room service at all. The hotel is having trouble keeping experienced housekeepers. The front desk staff saved the day by going out of their way to recompense the two problems. All said I would certainly recommend this hotel. The staff that served the breakfast buffet did an outstanding job feeding a very hungry Little League baseball team for several days. July 18, 2014

Staff was very accommodating, my niece had an event there and required additional tables etc. Staff was very friendly and made certain that we had everything that we needed for the event. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by questionable service We checked into the hotel not to receive a key that would open the door. The desk made 9 keys, then had to let us into the room, We were then captive, due to the fact we couldn't get back in without contacting the desk. Yes the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast is included. The staff didn't keep up on the needs of the dinning room. When I approached them one woman was upset about being asked for product. Another woman came to help who was pleasant. I have stayed in other Holiday Inn Express hotels and had better experiences. June 24, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Customer Service and Very Clean Hotel This hotel was very, very clean. The hotel staff was awesome and friendly and provide great customer service. Our room was cleaned every day within a short time frame while we were eating breakfast, which was nice to walk back into a clean room. Our cleaning staff was very observant to notice when we left so they could clean while we were gone. I was very impressed with that. The breakfast was very good, and had a good variety. They had cold drinks and appetizers every night around 6pm, which was a great way to relax when coming in from work. The exercise room was good, had clean towels and big screen TV. Overall, our experience was wonderful and I would recommend that if you want great customer service and a clean hotel, that this is the hotel you need to stay at. June 23, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by okay in an emergency I've stayed here before and remembered it as a pleasant experience. However, this time, I was unable to get very much sleep. The walls were paper thin and apparently a family with young children were staying next door. The children were probably not any noisier than normal, but they could be heard through the walls...made for a very rough night before a 10 drive to Florida in the a.m. I ended up delaying my trip home to Florida, and went to visit my children in MD. I came back through Wilson. I attempted to get a room again ( I was willing to give them another try#, but was informed the rate had gone up $10, and the desk clerk would not budge - in spite of my recent stay and rewards status. I ended up staying at a different hotel in Wilson #for the same price as my original stay at HIE). The quality was much better - great breakfast buffet, hot cookies on arrival, and a snack bag on departure. Best of all... I actually slept!!! March 18, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Great all around place. Ladies and gentlemen. After a long day of pro wrestling I love to be pampered. I get just that @ HIE. Walk in to be greeted with a lovely smile by Carol, the asst. GM. The fastest check in ever. We skipped the pool, wasn't ready for the Polar Plunge. Too tired for the indoor fitness. The triple sheeted beds just made me feel like I was at home. The hot express buffet is a great start in the morning. Hot chocolate to go! I love this chain and you will too. Ms. Bryant knows how to treat her guest. You should visit them in Wilson and Hope Mills NC — with Shelby Dean Bryant at Holiday Inn Express. February 26, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by too much noise In the morning the staff were very noisy trying to get a early start by cleaning the rooms I guess of people who checked out early. Of course that makes it uncomfortable for people like myself who check out late. So vacuum cleaners, walkie talkies, and the staff conversations was all I heard in the morning before 10 a.m. The bed was comfortable, but it wasn't completely made when I pulled the covers back. I was stuck at the hotel due to the snow last week and the staff was very accommodating during a stressful time. Everyone was so friendly and courteous it made me feel more at ease. I know this area does not get snow frequently, I think they could have done a much better job of making it safer in the parking area. The drive was slick and so was the entrance to the hotel. I also had an incident of other guests smoking in the stairwell - I did report it, but it didn't seem that the staff was aware - they handled it. Overall the property was well maintained and the staff was very professional and friendly. February 3, 2014

The front desk person after some discussion deciced to honor the price given over the phone, but acted like it was some favor she was doing me. The woman checking us in was efficient to the point of being gruff. She gave the impression that we'd interrupted something that she was in a hurry to return to. Even though the breakfast was good the overall quality was a bit below other Holiday Inn Express experiences. Ran out of bacon. The room was clean, quiet, comfortable - overall very nice. On our next visit to Wilson we'll choose to stay here again. January 2, 2014
