Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Good shower, but the rest.... Found the room to be poky, the double bed small and the carpet dirty (suspicious clumps of hair were to be found everywhere). Also the view on to WIndsor police station didn't have much going for it! August 24, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Rooms okay, the rest is pretty poor. My partner and I stayed here during a recent house move. The majority of guests were families with young children visiting Legoland so expect lots of toddlers and youngsters running around which is somewhat disturbing if they're in the next room or using the corridor outside the room as a race track. The rooms were okay although experiencing lots of wear and tear quickly and the lift operation quirky. The self service breakfast was a shambles; the staff seemed incapable of helping this run smoothly and the juice machine, milk, clean crockery, space to stow away dirty trays as well as the food all ran out during the two occasions we ate there and it was up to the guests to proactively find the staff member and ask them to deal with it. Some acted pretty disinterested and responded at a glacial pace. When we were asked at check out whether we'd enjoyed our stay, and saying we hadn't, the otherwise helpful blonde E. European lady burst out laughing and made no attempt to find out why - strange! We then loaded the car in the part flooded car park and departed. If you're not in a family going to Legoland, you'd be better off finding somewhere else. August 19, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent room not as good elsewhere Room was clean and in almost perfect condition with the best TV (28" LG) of any of the many hotels I have stayed in, and the bed was very comfortable. Some aircraft noise in the evening (Heathrow airport is not far away) but quiet overnight. Other HI Express hotels I have visited have adequate on site car parking for the number of rooms, but the underground car park in this one is very small and the spaces are tight. Unfortunately "budget" hotels rely on minimum staffing to keep costs down and can provide less than ideal service. During my stay, one member of staff was covering both reception and bar service (serving drinks, taking meal orders, and payments for these). This resulted in a lengthy wait on every of the three occasions I required service. August 12, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Great Hotel for Business or Family Fun I stayed over two weeks at this hotel. The staff are fantastic, friendly and very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The room are immaculate and very comfortable. Great WiFi at no additional cost !! I had a great signal everywhere in the hotel. The breakfast is very good and taste like homemade. Had dinner a couple of times here and it was very good. They have an ice machine and a good snack machine on the premise. Very easy access to Windsor Castle and all the Windsor sites and shopping area. August 11, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay at late notice We stayed at the Holiday Inn as we were let down last minute by a B&B we were due to stay. We asked for a room and were offered a good room and were booked in quickly and with minimum fuss. The room was really nice, clean and tidy with good amenities, everything you would need for a nights stay. The location is great as it is only a 10 minute walk to the centre of Windsor but far enough away from the hustle of the centre. There is a secure car park below the hotel which is really handy as parking is at a premium in the area. One last thing, the girl working at reception was really friendly and helpful and did all she could for us to make our stay comfortable, so a big thankyou to her. August 11, 2013

Friendly staff, good parking, ideal location, decent breakfast menu, comfortable beds and well appointed room. Excellent standard of cleanliness throughout. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not very friendly service Whilst the location is good, there is little else to put in the plus column at this hotel. We found the staff to be quite unfriendly and unhelpful. There was no attempt to go out of their way to enhance our stay. The quality of the food at breakfast was low. The hotel offers dinner, expect on the night we tried to order. Prior to our stay at this HIE, we had stayed at a HIE in Warwick, which set a much higher standard that Windsor. July 24, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great location, great staff interactions. We stayed there for a couple of days in mid June. The hotel has an excellent location, just a short 10 min walk into downtown Windsor and about 15 to Windsor castle. Parking is a bit limited, however manageable with the attached parking garage. Room are standard and in good condition. What set this property apart from many other, was the quality of it's employees. They are looking out for you and were extremely helpful at every interaction. From housekeeping to the GM every one was just pleasant to deal with, making it clear that customer service satisfaction was their goal. Thank you for a pleasant stay. June 24, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Parking The hotel and inclusive breakfast were excellent for a budget price hotel. The free Internet connection was was an added bonus even if a little slow. The big drawback at the moment was the lack of available parking in the hotel car park because of refurbishment. The hotel staff were not even willing to offer a guess as to when the car park would be available and there were varied opinions about where street parking could be found. June 14, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by OK Accommodation While our room was OK and the hotel certainly modern there were some issues. Having stayed at many Holiday Inns the first issue is that there was no real recognition as a Priority club member, while in the UK we stayed at two other Intercontinental hotels that were outstanding and certainly treated us extremel well, perhaps we have been spoiled by our experiences with other Holiday Inn locations. The other issue is that while the staff was friendly they seemed short handed and the service perhaps not what I expected. The last point is location, being beside the police station, several times in the middle of the night being awakened by sirens from PC cars. June 14, 2013

There was no hotel parking available at the time of stay, but there was street parking for a fee. I would definitely stay here to see the local sites - very easy walk to Windsor Castle. June 8, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great location for a stopover I used a points from my priority club membership for this one night stay which I took on my way up the country to visit relatives as I didn't relish the thought of a 4am start! Also the location is in easy walking distance from the castle and the centre of town so I had an easy complementary breakfast in the hotel then into town for a leisurely walk and a coffee before heading off in the car. I was checked very efficiently by a bubbly young lady in the late evening and found a beautiful modern hotel room well appointed and very comfortable for me at least, might be a bit cosy for a couple. I used my complementary 24hr one device WiFi access (this may have been as a priority club member but i didn't check) to check my email then promptly went to sleep after a hot shower taken in the immaculately clean bathroom. Woke up and took advantage of the self service breakfast which included almost everything you could want (cereal, jams, toast, pastries, hot drinks, juice, scrambled eggs, sausages amongst other items). After a hour in the town returned and checked out quickly without any fuss. There was parking onsite however it was not in operation at this time but there was seemingly plenty of parking on the street in a safe neighbourhood (infact next to the police station). Overall a very good stay and I would have no hesitation in returning. June 7, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Helpful staff Hotel is fairly new, room equipped to high standard. Staff excellent and extremely helpful and cheerful. Underground Car Park is not currently available, though it is being worked on. There is a Youth Centre behind the hotel - parking is free between 19:00 and 09:00 - though the Parking sign does not indicate this - we rang the local council to check and they confirmed that the sign was incorrect. We parked overnight without any problems. The hotel is a 10 minute walk into the town centre. June 4, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Parking mayhem Could not park at hotel. Duty manager insists problem of parking is on website. It is not. It shows parking is available. Duty manager suggested adjacent road which was double yellow lines or opposite which appeared to be residents only. Worst of all the duty manager keeps saying 'it's not my problem'. IT IS - these are your customers that you are offending. Staff need a little more training in customer skills and taking responsibility. DO NOT stay at this hotel if you want relaxing time. Arrived at hotel to be told that payment made in February had been declined because "Holiday Inn have trouble with Maestro cards" The hotel has an underground car park which is shut so we had to pay for metered parking nearby and had to return to the meter to pay during the evening. The evening food was limited in choice and low in quality. The breakfast was much better. Rooms were high standard and were extremely clean. April 12, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Absolutely excellent This is our second stay at the hotel, our first being a few weeks after the hotel opened (we stayed in early November 2012). Any teething problems with a brand new hotel seem to have been rectified and we had an excellent totally faultless stay this time in January 2013. The rooms are most comfortable and decor very smart with very comfortable beds. The staff are very helpful and friendly and it was a pleasure staying at the hotel. We will definitely be staying again. Thanks for a wonderful experience. February 3, 2013
