Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by HI express winston salem west checked in late in the evening and everything was ready to complete the check-in. The night manager was courteous, friendly and efficient. Breakfast was diverse and satisfying. This inn is just a block away from Baptist hospital which was very important for this trip. February 9, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Stayed for a month Wonderful hotel. Wife in hospital - Able to relax and live hassle free, so I could focus on her. Nice room. Clean, comfortable, and quiet. Hearty and tasty breakfast. Most importantly, terrific staff. Excellent manager - Responsive to needs, concerned without being nosey, took care of business efficiently and pleasantly. Front desk staff friendly. extremely helpful, supportive. Housekeeping super. I highly recommend this hotel and we have already made reservations for our next visit. February 6, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Needs some work I was a little disappointed in this property, I stayed only 1 night and glad I didn't have to stay a second one. Room definitely could use some TLC. There was visible mold on the ceiling in the bathroom, looked like someone had tried to spray paint over it and it was all over the top part of the wallpaper. The paint in the shower was cracked, peeling, and mold. There were dead bugs in the light fixture in the bathroom, very drab room all together. February 6, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Problem in bathroom We discovered upon entering our bath that there were a number of problems. 1. No towel hooks on walls to hold towels. 2. No soap holder in shower. 3. Only a primer coat of paint on inside of door 4. Bottom of door not cut cleanly 5. Water leaking from around commode 6. Water also appears to be running out from under tub Other than that, every thing seemed to be fine. February 5, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by disappointed I am sad to say that this property was a disappointment for us. We have come to a certain expectation (based on experience) over the years of Holiday Inn Express and Platinum rewards stays of appreciation of our business and loyalty everywhere we have stayed. This was not so here. From the moment we arrived, tired from travel at about 9:00 PM, until the time that we left the next morning, service and friendliness were disappointing. We felt like we were imposing. We were acknowledged as rewards members in words once, but the helpfulness and speedy, happy assistance was sorely lacking. Looking back, from the time that I called to speak to the front desk about the reservation, through check-in and requests, things seemed difficult. We were traveling with my infant grandson and had requested a crib in the room. When I checked with the hotel after the reservation was made on-line, the person answering the hotel phone did not know about cribs at all and had to check with someone else. I was told that they did have something (pack-n-play or crib or something). I thought that person made note of the request on my reservation. Apparently not, when we arrived the front desk tried to tell me that they did not even have cribs. She dragged her feet unhappily about the whole issue and finally said that she would send someone up to the room with one. Our grandson was very tired and asleep in the car. By the time someone finally made it up to the room he was fully awake and crying. The clerk came to our room door and promptly told us that we would be charged $10 to have the crib in the room! We have NEVER had to pay for a crib in the room at any other Holiday Inn Express. We were not informed of the charge at anytime of interaction prior to her arrival at our door. Most people there apparently don't even know that they have the cribs! Get used to stone-faced greetings there. Beds are a plus and comfortable, but listening to an unhappy baby does not make for a comfortable or relaxing stay! I have a fair rating, because this type experience is what I would expect staying at other chains, but NOT at IHG. February 5, 2016
