Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Room Not Clean Bedspread in room was not clean upon check in, when brought to the attention of the hotel clerk I was promised it would be changed during room clean the next day. This did not happen and they left the dirty bedspread for another night. I was fortunate enough to have a 2nd bed to use but the overall experience was very displeasing. I travel at least 5-7 business days/month and will unfortunately not be utilizing this establishment in the future and neither will my business associates. January 18, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ammenities Our 6 year old son has non-verbal autism and loves to swim! Currently, we are renting a condo in the area, while our house is being built. Thankfully, the association where we rent has an inground swimming pool, and boy do we use it often! Unfortunately, before checking the holiday schedule on December 30th, I made the mistake of asking our son if he wanted to go swimming. As soon as we realized that it was closed and that we were minutes away from having a meltdown, we quickly jumped online and booked a room at the Holiday Inn Express in Wixom. Within the hour, we were checked in, he was swimming in the pool and mom and dad were enjoying the hot tub!! Thank you for helping us in a pinch! January 11, 2016

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Choose a different hotel Usually Holiday Inn Express hotels are great. This one is a little different. Until this visit, I wasn't aware that each hotel is independently owned and operated. This is obvious with this hotel. Let me start with the staff. The front desk, breakfast, and maintenance staff were incredibly friendly and helpful! The problems must be with ownership/management. The hotel appeared to be dated and seemed to have some people living there permanently. We were travelling with a large group of people. One person in our group entered their room and noticed a bizarre smell. There was half of an onion, boxes of opened crackers and soup in the drawer. We went to use the hot tub only to find it filthy with hair, dirty towels and paper towels. There were towels thrown all around the pool area with no clean towels available. We went to the front desk and the maintenance person came immediately to fix the hot tub and clean the area. The fire detector was going off in our room, again, we called the maintenance person who immediately came to replace the battery. Something just seemed off about this hotel. If possible, I would choose a different Holiday Inn or different hotel all together. December 23, 2015
