I have stayed at this hotel previously, but this time found it lacking. I listened to water run all night long from somewhere. The breakfast was not very good with several items that should have been hot were lukewarm. I probably will not stay here again because there are several better choices in the area.

We were on a trip traveling through parts of Virginia and had booked rooms at various HIEs along the way. The Woodbridge accommodation was our least favorite by far. The tub stopped up while taking a shower so we had to stand in water--yuck. The carpet was dirty around the base of the wall. There was hair on the bedside table. Yuck again. We didn't have any of the little extras, like a shoe mitt, makeup remover, etc., like we had in other HIE locations. The AC vent was dirty. There was a white powder-like deodorizer sprinkled on the AC vent. There was no wall thermostat for heat and air. The AC blew ALL night altho we had it on auto. And last, but not least, the hair dryer was old w/ lint accumulated in the blower. We were very disappointed in this HIE. I told the desk receptionist about the stopped up tub when we checked out. She made a note but was not apologetic at all. I would compare this motel to a much cheaper motel chain. Not very nice. I could have saved myself $30 - $40 and stayed at a cheaper motel and might have had a cleaner, nicer room.

As a platinum rewards member, as requested we were upgraded to a king suite. But the suite was not furnished as other HI King Suites. No table and two chairs, etc.

Stayed Sunday night Oct 6 on points leaving Monday morning using IHG points for our stay. Upon checking my account statement on Weds Oct 9 I found I had been charged $28.25 for our stay. I called the hotel explaining the problem, The desk clerk said it was a billing problem and the manager would fix it on Thursday and return the funds to my account. Well its Friday night the 11th and funds have yet to be returned.

Front Desk Staff was outgoing and caring. Suite Room was excellent in terms of space and comfort. Location was off interstate and near all shopping and restaurants.

Right off of 95 and soooo close to Potomac Mills and Ikea. The front desk manager was very pleasant. In fact he called me by my first name the next morning as I was loading up the car. I was blown away. No one has ever done that and the majority of the time the front desk staff doesn't even look up when you walk by. He checked us in the evening before. Holiday Inn is so consistent with what you will get in your room---a nice bathroom and a comfy bed. This is a must stay if you are interested in convenience, an attentive staff, and a comfy stay.
The free breakfast was also terrific---good variety and nice touches like honey packets for my tea. Will stay again for sure!!!

just far enough off the highway (95) so you do not hear any traffic noise,
tucked away in a nice area, easy to get to, close to the highway and shopping if needed, and a needed rest stop for the drive home,
rooms were clean, comfy, nicely laid out,
good service at the desk,
we did not use the breakfast facilities,
we have already booked a room for a return to the area!

Woodbridge was a great place to stay after leaving Williamsburg ,where we enjoyed a fortnight's stay , on our way to New York for a 3 day trip. The plane left Dulles at noon but we didn't want to make the journey in one day. The hotel's site was ideal for the motorway and for the journey into Washington airport the next morning. As it's so close to Potomac Mills we were able to do some last minute shopping. The staff were very welcoming and it all worked out so well. Sadly we weren't able to make use of the pool.

The King Bed was extremely comfortable as well as the pillows and bedding. Room was VERY Clean.
The breakfast food was very good and enough variety. The whole hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly.

Our family had a death and we were up [from North Carolina] for visitation and the funeral..All the staff were helpful on places to eat and one of the staffs' wife had twins..We were excited for his fortune of twin girls..
Always courteous at this HIE.

Just pulled over for some coffee and a restroom break. It was so inviting, we wound up staying the night. Real hspitality! Great atmosphere. Would have stayed longer, but since we were traveling, it was nice to know there are nice places, with good people. We have plans to visit longer next time.

The hotel is a very clean and neat hotel. The only issue I had was with the staff. They just are not as pleasurable as most hotel staff you meet but they do there job very quickly and effectively with a somber face. I don't know if they hate their job but they sure aren't happy to see the guests.

I was told when making the reservation on the phone that I could give my rewards info when checking in. Upon check in I was denied the ability to use my reward points and told I had to do that when reserving. The staff did not even try to help settle the matter and just said no.

Most everything was out of stock, nobody was maintaining the food. Omlettes were ice cold. The room and facilities were nice, but the free 'breakfast' ruined it for us. We have stayed at many HE, and none were this poor for the breakfast.

I must say, for being a Holiday Inn Express... this one misses the target completely. I hold the IHG Ambassador status and received two bottles of warm water and a bag of pretzels (not a proper recognition). The most disappointing aspect was the out-dated King Suite. The rooms do not have movies for rent. The channel directory was printed on a half sheet of printed paper. Not to mention, when changing the channels, it takes 3-5 seconds for the channel to appear. There was no welcome book in the room that described the local area and attractions - you have to stand at the front door of the hotel to look at the brochure stand. The internet was free... but the connection was so poor that you could barely load gmail. The hotel has an ice machine - on the 2nd and 4th floors... and on the opposite side of the hotel stairwell (the single elevator is located in the center of the hotel though). Overall, this is a hotel I would expect to see in an area with a population of less than 5,000. I have frequented hotels in 23 countries... and at best, this one is worthy of 2 starts. I will not return to this property.

My husband and I went to Potomac Mills for a weekend getaway and to do some shopping. The Holiday Inn Express in Woodbridge is 2 minutes away from the Mall by car. All of your chain restaurants are in short distance from there, you're even diagonally across the street from a 7-11, which my husband took advantage of and our room was always clean and neat. Accommodations met our expectations, although, when we left we paid our balance in "CASH", but our credit card was still charged the balance plus 10% incidental charge. When I returned home, I contacted my bank which told me to contact the hotel. I calledl the manager and within 24 hours the funds had returned to my account.

My stay at Holiday Inn Express was Great. Arriving late was not a problem for them. The associate went out of their way to be sure I had a room that would accommodate my desire to have a cigarette without exiting the building. Now when I'm working in the area I make a reservation, when possible, to be sure I have the comforts I desire after a long day! Thank You ~ Thank You ~ Thank You

The vending machine on the second floor didn't have much variety and some of the items I tried to buy I couldn't because that rack was broken. It also was very empty for the whole week I was there.

They physical building is good, and the amenities are fine. However, 2 of the 4 mornings, there was no hot water. Newspaper delivery was erratic, as I received it twice. Most importantly, the receipt slipped under my door was wrong. When I checked out, I asked for a "Zero Balance" receipt. The "Zero Balance" reflected one more night than the bill placed under my door. Worse than that, the desk clerk wanted to argue that the bill under my door was correct, it just didn't reflect my last night. I often use the 'under the door' bill for my voucher. Had I used this one, I would have found myself shorted when my credit card statement arrived. A pretty building and nice furniture does not make up for no hot water and incorrect billing. This was not a good experience

This hotel was very clean and comfortable. Having a microwave and refridgerator was a definate plus. The staff was very friendly.
The only problem was the lack of vending. On our visit I had to go to all 4 floors to locate diet soda. The machines were only about half full.
