Though the lobby seemed fresh, the only elevator was run down and when I got to my room it was not what I was expecting. The room was dated, furniture was old including the bed. old and stiff. not what i was expecting from an express suites hotel. for the price I paid for a junior king suite, not worth the money. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by over all experience when we first arrived at the hotel we had made our reservations on line and with a notice of us having a small dog,and need a room on the first floor and close to an exit door. When we went to check in there was no notice to the staff about the dog and what we had requested for her needs,or that we had given notice about the dog. I had made a copy of our confirmation and it showed that we did have a dog and what our needs were,the check in process took forever to get what we had asked for 2 weeks before checking in.The staff turned themselves inside out to get what we needs,which was 2 queen beds or 1 king bed and on the first floor next to an exit.What we ended up with was 1 queen bed,which we made work and all was well,but it still took the hotel staff a long time,because I special needs were never relayed to them until we arrived. This is not a good way to do advance reservations and not tell the hotel staff what they are. March 19, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay, we're coming back for more My wife and I have now used this hotel 2 times as we work toward moving to minnesota permanently. The staff have been very friendly and the beds were comfortable. The first stay, they were refilling the pool. But, the second stay, the pool was full and the spa was at a perfect temperature. I do wish that they had more fruit options for the breakfast. Also, some yoghurt with more fruit and less high fructose corn syrup would be nice as well.. But, these are minor problems compared to an otherwise very comfortable and relaxing place to stay. February 5, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice weekend getaway Being unfamiliar with the area, I had alot of questions for the front desk staff when I arrived. The 3 young men manning the desk were very friendly, extremely helpful, and even printed out local directions for me. The hotel is conveniently located right of the highway and there are many shopping and dining choices. The room was a bit dated but very comfortable. January 7, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Hungry on Christmas We stayed on Christmas Eve. On Christmas morning, we were counting on having the complimentary breakfast. Thing is, they served from 6-9:30, and 9:30 meant 9:30. We got to the breakfast room at 9:40 and they had removed all of the food, locked up the refrigerators, etc. There were 2 bananas left. We had those. I stay at HIE hotels regularly, plus many other hotels that serve complimentary breakfasts. This is the first time I have been unable to get food a few minutes after the posted serving time. I can understand not bringing more food out, but removing the hot items and locking up everything else? I was also surprised that they weren't utlizing weekend serving hours of 7-10:30 since it was a Holiday. I have stayed at this hotel several times and will again, but I thought this was pretty chincy. January 2, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Last time staying here ever!!!!! Room was far from ideal and this place has really gone down hill over the past few years. Carpet in the room was gross; nasty feminine product left on the floor in the bathroom that was never cleaned up prior to me entering the room for my new stay. Smelled like wet dog/dog in the hotel as this place is 'pet friendly'.....not good for those who suffer allergies to pet and animal dander. Staff at the desk were nice and made things right as they deemed fit; however, room should have been free for the issues in the room and the lack of house keeping. This will be the last time I ever stay here as they lost me as a customer forever after this last time. Club member treat was a joke...really, bottle of water and a bag of nasty Lays potato chips...come on!! January 2, 2013
