Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice! What a great stay! The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were quiet. Breakfast was pretty good--the biscuits and gravy were yummy. Only bad thing was the smell in the hallways--it was really bad! But the room did not smell at all, which was good:) We would definitely stay here again! October 1, 2013

It's always nice to stay at a hotel where the staff actually seems happy to be there. The complimentary breakfast is substantial and located in a nice sunny area. We enjoy the wide selection of nearby shopping, and on this trip we ate at a wonderful Asian bistro just down the way.. We have stayed here several times before, and will definitely stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Woodbury again. September 24, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Standard hotel, but don't hope for a hot shower Stayed here for a Saturday night after a wedding. Room was fine and pretty standard with no real amenities, but the fun surprise came in the morning. My wife and I wanted to take showers to clean up for the day only to find that the water was luke warm at best, so a cool shower was not a fun way to start the day. Not having a large enough water heater to support the hotel is completely unacceptable. When we left I told the woman at the front desk and she briefly apologized and responded with "Oh, we had a full hotel last night so that is why." Guessing it is a complaint they ahve heard plenty, pony up and get a few new water heaters to take care of your guests. It damages the Holiday Inn brand overall too, not a quality hotel from my perspective. September 11, 2013

Best of all, even though there were wedding parties in house and the hotel was full, it wasn't noisy and we slept very well. Breakfast was really good, lots to choose from. This was our 6th night in HI hotels, on the road from Madison, WI to Sioux Falls, SD, to Rapid City, SD, to Cody, WY, and back through St. Paul, and this location was the best managed. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Even Booked Great Service Made me feel Like I was the only guest there. With the the vikings in town, the twins, the gophers and Minnesota State Fair. Called in late the gave me a great suite away from both wedding parties in the hotels, In the morning breakfast was delightful full of great choices. The little fenced in veranda section of the lobby almost had a outdoor cafe feel. Combine that with a free hot cinnamon roll and fresh coffee. AWESOME . Room very clean and room September 3, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Wi-Fi Problems Concerns: Wi-Fi access was quite problematic - slow and sporadic - on both laptop and smart phone. Called the 800 number provided by the staff to anayze system response but no real improvement. Refrigerator door in Room 202 would not stay closed. It would be nice if the AC unit had a "Fan (constantly) On" position. This would help drown out the I94 traffic noise. 500 "bonus" points for previous visit (almost 4 weeks earlier) has not been credited, Was told that the staff who was charged with this responsibility had been out for some time and had not had a chance to catch up. Staff is very good. I've enjoyed numerous stays at this hotel and have been rarely disappointed. September 3, 2013

If i was staying more than one night this would have been a serious problem for me. I told the staff about it on my departure so i'm assuming that it would be fixed. Though the lobby seemed fresh, the only elevator was run down and when I got to my room it was not what I was expecting. The room was dated, furniture was old including the bed. old and stiff. not what i was expecting from an express suites hotel. for the price I paid for a junior king suite, not worth the money. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by over all experience when we first arrived at the hotel we had made our reservations on line and with a notice of us having a small dog,and need a room on the first floor and close to an exit door. When we went to check in there was no notice to the staff about the dog and what we had requested for her needs,or that we had given notice about the dog. I had made a copy of our confirmation and it showed that we did have a dog and what our needs were,the check in process took forever to get what we had asked for 2 weeks before checking in.The staff turned themselves inside out to get what we needs,which was 2 queen beds or 1 king bed and on the first floor next to an exit.What we ended up with was 1 queen bed,which we made work and all was well,but it still took the hotel staff a long time,because I special needs were never relayed to them until we arrived. This is not a good way to do advance reservations and not tell the hotel staff what they are. March 19, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay, we're coming back for more My wife and I have now used this hotel 2 times as we work toward moving to minnesota permanently. The staff have been very friendly and the beds were comfortable. The first stay, they were refilling the pool. But, the second stay, the pool was full and the spa was at a perfect temperature. I do wish that they had more fruit options for the breakfast. Also, some yoghurt with more fruit and less high fructose corn syrup would be nice as well.. But, these are minor problems compared to an otherwise very comfortable and relaxing place to stay. February 5, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice weekend getaway Being unfamiliar with the area, I had alot of questions for the front desk staff when I arrived. The 3 young men manning the desk were very friendly, extremely helpful, and even printed out local directions for me. The hotel is conveniently located right of the highway and there are many shopping and dining choices. The room was a bit dated but very comfortable. January 7, 2013
