When traveling and taps time arrives, I always look for a Holiday Inn or Holiday Inn Express. Immaculately clean, comfortable beds, pay channel television, free internet and delicious breakfast to begin a new day.

After spending the four previous nights in a "historical" hotel in a northern CA town, my friend and I stayed at the HI Express in Woodland prior to our flights out from Sacramento the next day. We felt like we had died and gone to heaven...clean, spacious, quiet and comfortable! Would come back any time and recommend it highly.

This facility is located convenient to SMF and is an easy on/off. It provided what I needed for my visits, late night arrival and all. I will stay here again.

We've stayed in this hotel many times since its opening. It's the perfect location for an overnight before flying out of Sacramento Airport. The front desk staff ALWAYS makes us feel welcome. Each and every staff member takes ownership of this hotel. It is a pleasure to stay here and sets the bar of expectation for every hotel we visit. Our room is well-sized, clean, comfortable, and quiet.

We have stayed at this property several time in the past. Although the staff and grounds were good I was displeased with the rodent trap that was placed just outside our room.
A call to the front desk did not cure the situation..........

It would be nice if the website that we use, which is actually the priority club app, told us that the spa and pool area was under construction, and would be closed during our stay. Actually, when we book a room, we are often looking to see if the facility has a spa (hot tub).
The lady at the front dest was very nice, and gave us a great suggeation for dinner, and we are very glad that we listened to her for that.
The snack area, if you can call it that was a fail. Normally there are items such as candy, soda, frozen dinners, yogurts, this one... water and laundry detergent, really??
I would not say dont stay here, all I am saying is, pack your house to have anything you may want with you. This is the place I would arrive at late, and leave early, which is not what we usually do when we stay at Holiday Inn's.

The property was convenient and clean. When we walked in the door we immediately noticed a very strong odor--it smelled like the carpets had just been cleaned or the property had been fumigated. We got used to the odor after a time, but it was still noticeable. The staff was pleasant and the breakfast good.

Front desk gave us about 6 pages of local restaurants and then helped us make a selection which was perfect for us. Makes us want to return to explore Woodland more.

We had a special needs person in our party, and the staff was wonderful in accommodating our needs. The ADA room was excellent in its layout. The breakfasts were plentiful, although I would have liked in California to see more than bananas for fruit--that would be my only minor complaint. Everyone on the staff seemed to enjoy their jobs and worked to take care of the clients first and foremost. This is the 3rd or 4th time I have stayed at the Woodland Holiday Inn, and it has only gotten better.
