First off, the woman at the front desk was very personable, which started our trip out great! The bed was very comfortable and room was very large. But the thing we most appreciated and will return for is the cleanliness. Everything was dust free and spotless! Thank you for a nice weekend away!

The hotel is new. The hotel was clean and the staff friendly. The room was comfortable and the various pillows were nice, I would stay here again. We were stopping as we were traveling down to the Carolina coast.

Nice clean hotel, great staff (especially the front desk clerk at 6am, very helpful on travel routes and places to get breakfast) kids loved the pool. Wish breakfast started at 6:00 am. great stay overall.

had bad service from desk clerk. Gave us a room that was trashed. The bed covers all over the floor, cups everywhere and packets of sugar, and salt everywhere. Went down to desk to tell clerk no one there. Sign on desk said gone to help customer will be right back. Waited about 15 minutes , with wife in hallway with luggage.Desk clerk finally came back and I told her about room. She said she could give me a room on first floor with 2 Queen beds but it would cost more. I refused room and told her to just give me another room on 3rd floor. Got new room it was ok. The only thing the desk clerk said was SORRY. Will not stay in HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS anymore.

perfect stopover for family trip. Queen beds fit kids perfectly, hotel feels new, breakfast serves scrambled eggs. Would definitely recommend as an overnight on your trip.

I stayed 4 nights in the Dayton, OH area Holiday Inn Express an that was wonderful. Staff so friendly, every thing was clean and neat. The staff in Wytheville was not friendly, even the manager was "dry." I believe the manager should go to the HIE in Centerville, OH to see how it should be done and maybe take a few of the staff!

Beautiful hotel, probably the nicest Holiday Inn Express I have ever stayed in. The staff was very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was packed, but the hotel was full. First hotel I can remember that actually uses glass plates in the breakfast area. All that being said, I do not think that the room was worth almost $200 a night. We were tired from traveling and ready to get off the road or I would have stayed elsewhere.

This was undoubtedly the most nicely appointed HI I've ever been in. Very new and nicely appointed lobby and room, well, actually it was a suite. The only knock is that we had some difficulty changing the thermostat temp and had to call the front desk. However, someone promptly came to our room and got it changed, but then it ended up going from too hot to too cold during the night.
Other than that, it was comfortable, clean and pleasant. The breakfast was very good, nothing worthy of a four star restaurant, but still had a decent variety and the biscuits and cinnamon rolls were great!
Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

Convenient location to I81 and I77. Clean rooms and a large breakfast area. Located close to many options for dining out. Nice place to stay while traveling. I would recommend. Definitely recognize IHG Rewards memebrs

While traveling we stopped at this hotel. When greeted by Bonnie at the front desk, she seemed short and very rude. Not only did she explain that the hotel does not participate in free upgrade to priority platinum members, also if we wanted a upgrade we can pay for it. She made us feel like she had better things to do than to help us. Also when we asked for the federal rate and gave her our IDs she became even more rude. She did not give us the correct rate (we called customer service for the correct rate to verify), and had rude comments under her breath along with a look of disgust for us. We normally stay at Holiday Inns when ever we travel and I can say if we ever get in this area again we will stop prior to this hotel or drive further to miss this hotel. Over all not what I expected from a IHG brand hotel..... Also waiting on Management to call us back but we are not holding our breath!

The pre-formed perfectly round scrambled eggs look a little artifical - reminds me of square hamburgers served by a national fast food chain which I don;t frequent for that very reason - BUT they were actually quite tasty.
Breakfast room was mobbed, and thus staff were a ittle slow in cleaning up tables.
Even though we made our reservation several weeks ahead of time and used our Priority Club ( IGH) rewards number when making our reservation, we were not greeted as members and we did not find a bag of goodies in our room as we do at other Holiday Inn Express hotels. Just a minor point.
Thought the hotel was a little pricey, considering all the competion in the area.

Frt desk person had an attitude. She was short with me. I ask her if I cude up grade. She advised me they did not participate in free upgrades.That I would have to pay the extra charge to upgrade.I also told her about my last stay we had load kids over us running late into the night keeping us awake, and waking us up very early the next morning. She advised me there was nothing she could do about it.We had the very same thing happen again. As if she deliberately put us under a family with kids again.This was our second time in this Hotel, witch both times there was a unpleasent stay.I would like to have my points returned to my card.I do not know if I will ever stay there again. Our son goes to collage in Bluefield Va. He has one more year there and we will go up there to see him during school, But we will probably stay some where else.Most all the other places we have stayed, we had a pleasent stay.Thank You

Recently stayed one night while traveling. The hotel is nearly new and very attractively appointed. The beds were very comfortable. I had an extra adult (daughter) traveling with my wife and I. We were first charged about $25 above the rate of just my wife and myself. Then we had to ask for a rollaway bed, did they not know we needed another bed? I thought that was the reason for the extra $25. But, on checkout, I was charged an additional $10 for the rollaway. I could have just rented a suite for less!!! Being a light sleeper, I asked for a quiet location, but was given the room next to the side door and steps, so was awakened all hours. Also, breakfast was not what was promised, meaning, there was no trademark cinnamon rolls, 2 hours before ending breakfast hours. There was lots of biscuits, but no gravy. Was told that management never orders enough. So only stay here if you want to overpay, not sleep, and not have a breakfast. Management acted unconcerned with my complaint. Not your typical Holiday Inn Express. No recognition for Priority Club members.

King room was very spacious. Had the same great breakfast that we have come to expect at all Holiday Inn Express properties. Easy on and off the interstate. Great place to stop when traveling from FL to PA.

The motel was very clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast included hot entree's as well as the usual continental fare. A very restful place to stay after a long day of driving.

I have stayed at this property a number of times since the first of the year, and was most impressed with the property untill a recent visit. During this visit I purchased food from a local resturant to take home, and stored it in the in-room refigerator. When I was packing to leave the morning after, it was then I found out the refigerator was broken/ out of service. The $15 +/- of food I wanted to take home had spoiled. I sent an email through Priority Club about this incident, but never heard a response from the property management. Since this incident, I have been reluctant to stay at this property.
Other than this incident, this is still a very nice property (with the exception of the HIX breakfast ((needs updating system wide)).
Great location, nice rooms (refigerators?), quiet, good HVAC, resturants nearby.
And finally, one of the few HIX that uses "real" dishes for breakfast, a very nice touch.

A very nice place to stay. Rooms were very nice and exceptionally clean. We stopped here on our way home after staying in a Crown Center in Sharonville, Ohio. No comparison between the two. This HI Express far exceeded the Crown Center in every way. The bed was very comfortable. A great experience for anyone needing a clean, comfortable place to stay when traveling through or looking for a place to stay for vacation. This hotel represents HI and their IH Brand in an exceptional manner!!!! We will definitely stay there when traveling through in the future.

Would definitely stay here again if I was in the area - it was very new and beds were extremely comfortable. The breakfast room was big and had many choices to choose from on the breakfast buffet. Staff was very friendly!

I Asked Three Times On Three Differant Days If The Dryer Was To Be Fixed, I Was Told They Were Waiting On Parts The First Time The Second Time I Was Told That The Part Was In
The Third Time 5 Days After Checking In I Was Told That They Were Waiting On Parts Yet.
Was Not Repaired When I Checked Out 6 Days Latter
Internet Whent Down On The Weekend Was Not Back On Line Untill Sometime Monday

Overall the property is good. However, the wifi didn't work at all and they don't have wired as a backup. I was even asked to assist their wireless provider with troubleshooting. I'm a Field Service rep so I live and die by email. Luckily I had my phone to fall back on but it's not much help when I need to send detailed replies to customers.
The HVAC unit in my room seemed to have a mind of it's own. It would start randomly even if it had just shut off and then start short cycling, on off on off etc. until I shut it off. Then it was fine for a while but would go back to acting up randomly. Difficult to sleep like that.
Otherwise, the facility was nice, clean and comfy.

Everything was great, this time. Had an unpleasurable experience in a different location but they fully redemed their reputation with this stay. Friendliest Hotel staff I have ever had!! Will go back for sure.
