Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Modula1 miserable Wi-Fi service
This hotel is less than a year old, so aging infrastructure is not the issue. Like a lot of Holiday Inns, the property owner/manager is too cheap to obtain decent internet service. Oh yeah, the signal strength is good, but the bandwidth is so narrow that at one point I could not even log into the Holiday Inn Web page! Connecting to most sites was cryptic at best, with most not loading. I could connect to my company email, but not my personal email. What is it about you operators that you don't get about business traveler's needs?? Oh, and the fitness center only had 3 machines, and one of those was broken.
I won't stay at this property again, for sure!

Rooms was neat and clean. However, the decor was strange and the lighting horrible. The desk lamp was missing a lightbulb and the bathroom lighting was very poor, especially with the red counters. Hard for my husband to see to shave! Lighting in the rest of the building was poor too. One of the pictures in our room, which was screwed to the wall was crooked! Breakfast was the standard fare but the coffee was either almost empty or tepid at best. Hot food was frequently almost empty or empty. Took several trie to get some. It took 3 tries to get a hot coffee on Sunday morning.
The staff was friendly and even made a couple of good sugestions for local restaurants.
Overall, if you are going to the train show and need a clean room that is close by this place was ok, just don't expect anything too great.
Compared to the Holiday Inn Express in Danbury CT, this place was very disappointing.

Traveling home from a train show in York, PA. we spent the night here. perfect in every way. American girls at check in desk friendly, helpful, and professional in every way. Comfortable beds, just a positive experience overall. Check out the Eagle's Nest restaurant nearby! It has awesome food!

This hotel was conveniently located for the purpose of our trip to York PA and also not far from the Lancaster area. The room was clean, and spacious enough for two people. Our only issue was with the AC unit. It was a warm spring evening and the unit would not come on to cool the room; the fan was on but the compressor/condenser did not come on. Breaksfast choices were typical. Front desk staff were very nice. All-in-all a nice place to stay when in York.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by CBob1 Fast service, new and comfortable breakfast/sitting area
Newly constructed, so inside is great. Linen and floors don't hide wear and dust, etc., so staff is going to have to really keep up with cleaning details. Beds are a little 'high' to climb up into, but that's just our preference. Nice bathroom with space. Usual holiday inn amenities with latest interior design for travelers.

Girl at front desk told us incorrect time for breakfast. I am a priority club member and this is the first time I didn't receive a welcoming gift (they are not much but a bottle of water is always appreciated) as such. When I told the girl at the desk that I had failed to mention that I was a member and didn't receive the welcome gift, she said she was sorry , that they were out of them? Who is in charge of that one detail? The hotel barely had anyone there.

Spent close to three weeks in January 2013 at this property on business. Late nights of work really require a good nights sleep. Everthing is fine Sunday to Thursday, but I would not recommend staying at this property over the weekend if you intend to rest/relax! I am not sure if they advertise locally or it is just word of mouth, but every weekend that I have stayed here there has been children or teen "slumber" parties! They do not have any respect for other guests and feel like they own the place since they have paid for a room. The parents either drop the kids off with chaperones or they stay in separate rooms with no responsibilities. I know this makes me sound like an old fogie, but when you are away from your family on business and need to get work done and sleep to finish your business, this does not make for a welcome environment.

Breakfast again was missing items and again it was cold. This time the fitness center was missing some safety items so there was no work out chances for 4 days.
