Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Reception Kelsey is the best!. We arrived early, and we are Ambassador Club members. We had been on a late night flight, had traveled in the wee hours, and arrived at the hotel at around 10:00 am, tired, in need of a shower, and had to be somewhere nearby at 11:00am. Kelsey said she could give us an upgrade, and get us into a room right away that was available. She was a God-send!! Our stay was made pleasant due to the service and kindness of the staff, particularly Kelsey, who was at-the-ready to accommodate us in the best way possible. September 5, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great place. one of the better expresses I have been in. One of the best expresses I have stayed in by far. The front desk personnel were quick. professional and friendly but not overly. The only gripe is with other patrons that smoke. They huddle at the entrances and make a cloud of smoke that you have to walk though when you come in and leave. Then when they come in they stink up the elevator. But the really shining star is something I have been wishing for many years. And now that 90% of the IHG chain has HI DEF TV's this system should be implemented at all properties. The room has a direct TV receiver!!!!!! YAY!!!!! All the obscure channels like food network and BBC America. Also all concrete construction, If you are on the first floor you will appreciate it. Now if you don't mind hearing every booming footstep of the patron in the room above you then you won't know what I am talking about. With the direct TV system I just wish they had minimal DVR to pause live TV. That would be so nice. The breakfast is still a No go for me. The pancake machine is nice if you like chewy pancakes. everything is cooked by chef mike AKA (microwave) The bacon is so thin you can see though it. Thankfully a waffle house or denny's is nearby. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love it! This is our 5th year at this hotel and as always we were very pleased. It is clean, safe, staff is friendly and accommodating. We will be back next year. This year we did have a fire alarm at 1am and while I do think the night staff should have been better prepared (hopefully a lesson learned and management has provided additional training) I was surprised to witness guests complaining and wanting compensation due to the alarm the next morning. People, if a fire alarm goes off use common sense and EXIT the hotel immediately. The #1 priority is to get OUT safely and quickly. The hotel staff should have done better at ensuring that was happening, but he was trying to deal with the reason for the alarm, calling the manager and with the fire department - all guests need to know at that point is get out so you are safe period, you can learn details of what happened later. I say be smart and use your head...exit the hotel on your own dummies! And I can assure you I am THRILLED to know that the fire alarm worked perfectly, even for a very small, melted refrigerator plug. I'd rather have to wake up at 1am and get out than to be caught in a major fire. I will never understand why anyone should be nasty to the front desk the next morning and expect to be compensated for a WORKING fire alarm. June 26, 2013

Shouted across the room at me instructing as to how I should serve myself. As soon as anyone approched the food she would stand up from HER table, hands on hips, and watch every move they made. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Rough Towels and Early Breakfast I am a Priority Club member and was completely surprised that I was staying at a Holiday Inn property. A couple of ways they might make the stays of future guests more enjoyable: 1. Use more (or some) fabric softener when you wash the towels and facecloths--they were rough--definitely not soft. 2. Serve your free breakfast later than 9:30 a.m. on a week-end--most people like to sleep in a little on the week-ends. 3. Coach the front desk on restaurants to recommend in the area. The customer service at the one recommended to us was so bad we walked out. Thanks. May 5, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great travel location Ive stayed at this hotel many times. Its a clean, renovated, great hotel, with a wonderful location for travel. Every room has a fridge and microwave. Gas station, Wendys, KFC, and Mcdonalds all right next door without crossing a street. Free Breakfast which is wonderful and always easy check in. Although this time there was zero recognition for our Platinum membership, no room upgrade given and there were only 2 cars in the parking lot that night. And we have had an issue with this hotel where they charged our credit card for a time we didn't even stay which was eventually resolved. Although for a one night stop while traveling you cant beat it! April 28, 2013

Check in was easy, they even helped me find my priority ckub number. This is yet another great HIX. Thers a great selection for breakfast, check out the pancakes. Never had any problems with check-in, room cleanliness, or staff and service. The ladies who work in the breakfast area are especially friendly and helpful. It would be nice if there were more selections for breakfast but that's a corporate issue and not something that can be solved on a local inn level. When we inquired as to a lunch/dinner location the front desk directed us to Murry's Grill.....fantastic!!!! Try the MurryBurger. All in all, this Holiday Inn is well worth the stay. March 12, 2013

Upon checking out they could not even find us listed as being a guest . . . I found this rather odd, as we travel frequently and have never had this experience...not the most friendly staff . . . had to request towels as there were none in our room! January 10, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by good location Driving south this was a great location before our final destination. Right off route 95, near Amelia Island. Rooms and service were fine and the breakfast choices were plentiful. Good appearance and friendly staff. Only con was no priority amenity, ie water etc. There should be a uniform policy as opposed to some do and some don't. For those that do not it is a con, which could be easily corrected..
