The noise level on the street. Two of the three nights/afternoons we were at the property, there was a man outside playing drums on the street. Needless to say, it was loud. The room itself was clean but the hallways and entrance left a lot to be desired.

The hotel does not look like much from the outside, but it is an excellent place to stay and a good value. Staff at reception was always friendly, caring and professional. Room was spotless, just needs curtains across the windows in addition to the shade to block out the bright street lights. Easy walk to North Station and 10 min walk to Quincy Mkt or North End. Tour trolley pickup across the street from hotel. Noise level not bad for a mid-city setting, even with the Garden across the street (although there was no hockey game while we were there).

Big IHG fan, so always want the brand family to do well, but this stay was a total disappointment. Dingy, outdated, cramped, musty room that was billed (and priced) as a suite comfortably accommodating 5.
And the all-night street noise ranged from irritating to intimidating (drunks hollering and fighting after three in the morning). Of course, the hotel can't help the neighborhood it's in, but you can help where you choose to stay. After years of unflagging boosterism it pains me to write: Choose elsewhere.
The staff was unfailingly friendly and polite, but working with such limited resources, there was little they could do to make staying at their hotel remotely enjoyable.
