On my previous visit Upon check-in I was given the key to a room that was already occupied and walked in to the room when the guy was on the phone to his girlfriend - highly embarrassing !
This time the battery had run out on the door lock so it looked like the same thing had happened. It took me a couple of walks up and down the stairs too get in. Next morning same again - couldn't get into the room and they finally, after a ten minute wait let me in the room.
Each time I have stayed here the breakfast has not been refreshed and just a few scraps left. The sausages are so bad that I can't eat them t hey must be so cheap, they even smell vile !
Oh well at least I can check-out and get out of the place NO CHANCE - one receptionist on the phone taking a reservation and the other one outside having a cigarette. She came back in and walked straight past me and sat in the office in plain sight from the front desk. After 5 mins she comes out and asked the person behind me if he is being served - totally ignoring me ! I pointed out that I was waiting and finally got checked out and on my way. I will NEVER stay here again.

Chose this hotel because they allowed us to have the dog with us. Overall we found the experience good. Breakfast left a lot to be desired as we didn't get in til 9.05 & seemed to be left with 'dregs' (served from 5.30 -9.30) - the sausages left had obviously been at bottom of pile from early morning - they were so hard even the dog couldn't crunch them when I took them out to her! No staff around at that time to ask for more food. Spent a pleasant evening in the bar the night we arrived, only criticism would be that there was only one choice of bitter for my partner that was a smooth which he doesn't drink - maybe think about stocking few bottles of real ale for choice. Food was okay that night - not fantastic, limited menu & obviously bought in pre-packed frozen but as only staying the one night it suited its purpose. One other suggestion would be a couple of well placed bins outside specifically for disposal of doggie bags. We will return as our points aren't major & are more observations. We were made to feel very welcome by the staff team.

We could not fault the room but the breakfast left a lot to be desired.The toaster was not working properly and deposited the toast at the back of the machine,There was a problem with the orange juice which was like water with a dash of orange but the staff were helpful but obviously working with items of kitchen equipment which needed servicing.
