We stayed here for our annual family reunion. We usually stay at this hotel for many years. The breakfast is good and the rooms are fairly clean. This time we noticed a high degree of overall poor maintenance of the building. We were disappointed to see how worn down the place was becoming. Room doors were tilted (esker to open or harder to close) due to foundation problems, a lot of paint and wood chipped, cracks, and non-funtional bathroom fans/exhaust. The owners need to do a better job in maintaining their property.

We had a great time. We had a total of six room and
everyone enjoyed their stay. Staff was very helpful
Rooms were nice, swimming pool enjoyable for kids,excellent parking and a good breakfast.
Walking distance to some of the best BBQ in Texas.
This will be my first choice for future stays in Brownwood..

We reserved a block of rooms for our son's wedding. When we arrived, the person checking us in told us that we didn't have a room and the elevator was not working. When we got to a room, the room was damp and musty, had holes in the curtains and the carpet was badly wrinkled. If we hadn't been on such a short timeline I would have changed hotels.
At check out we were overcharged. When we got home we found out that the hotel had charged my debit card even though we gave them our Discover Card and asked them to charge the rooms to it. They collected double payments for some rooms. We are still trying to get it resolved.
The saving grace was Kelly, the desk clerk who is diligently trying to resolve all issues. The manager was not even there and never contacted us at all.
Never again will I ever use an IHG hotel for any reason.
