This was our 5th year in a row of visiting the Holiday Inn Resort in SJD for our anniversary and we are never disappointed. Even with the major damages they received from last years hurricane the place was back in good shape with some improved areas as well. The main restaurant was remodeled and much improved and the food choices were much better than some of the reviews mention so unless your looking for 5 star gourmet you should be completely satisfied with the selections and quality. Very happy they added Dos XX and Indio to the lineup to expand the Tecate only selection. The rooms and other interior areas are somewhat outdated but the outdoor areas are well maintained and quite beautiful. The exercise room could use a little improvement but we took a daily long walk for our cardio work and to help burn off the eat and drinks and make room for more. The Estuary trail was really damaged but you can still walk thru and see the birds and turtles.
We always enjoy meeting the other guest and share in many great stories and conversations at the pool bars, etc...but the best thing about the resort are the people that work there. To many names to mention but we always received excellent treatment from all. When you can eat and drink almost 24/7 it takes a lot for the staff to provide great service to everyone, but they always do graciously. Let me suggest that if you want to be well taken care of then pass out a few pesos to anyone who serves you. I see people who do not tip and they are still treated nicely but I tip generously and it is much appreciated and acknowledged.
We will be back again next year and so on...THANK YOU once again!

The place is right on the main Corridor as you enter Cabo, across from the Costco but once inside you almost feel like you entered a resort hotel near the beach. The place looks new and is very clean with nice modern upgrades in the rooms and public areas. Hopefully you can get a room on the backside that faces the ocean and enjoy the views. The beds were very comfortable and the room was quiet.
The service was excellent from front desk to breakfast attendant to maid service. The breakfast was very good with fresh fruit, build you own chiliquiles, fresh juices, great coffee...and more. The pool area is small but great views and plenty of sunshine. Many of the guest were there on business so we had the place to ourselves during the mid day. In the complex there is the Cabo fitness center with free use of the facility, a bank to exchange dollars to pesos at good rates, a café and taqueria with great food and cerveza deals. If you looking to get pampered and spend 2 or 3 times as much or more then go somewhere else but I will definitely come back to the HIE on our next visit to Cabo.

This was my first time in Cabo and I enjoyed my stay at Holiday Inn Cabo San Lucas . My Special thanks to the staff with All there help and support for where and on how to enjoy my time in Cabo San Lucas. It is located 30 minutes from the airport so make sure you prepare for this I would suggest Grayline Shuttle service and u can find them on line and book your travel plans in advance so u will have that part taking care of and they will charge about $26.00 round trip per person. The Holiday Inn Cabo San Lucas is next to Office Depot and walking food places of All types of food so it was easy to have a meal for lunch and dinner. Holiday Cabos breakfast had variety of choice and I enjoy All the food groups. I did have a little set back about check out time so if you are a Elite Member and want late check out time make sure you confirm with them on check in or u might have to. PAY FOR LATE CHECK OUT TIME $80.00 so very much CONFIRM and make sure it is on your copy reservation just wanted to get that off my chest :) Overall I look forward to staying there again in Cabos San Lucas Mexico next year GOD willing.
