Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Very disappointed! Worst Holiday Inn Express stay EVER! Because I have IHG rewards, I tend to think first and foremost to reserve at a Holiday Inn Express. This was the closest location to the port prior to us setting off for our cruise. Upon entering our room, there was a trail of ants on the desk. I didn't mention it to the front desk and instead cleaned up the problem. The A/C wasn't quite functioning at full blast, but we arrived late and we simply settled in. We left early the next morning for Orlando, and left donuts on the TV stand, and after a full day at Universal Studios, we came back to find our donuts full of ants and the A/C not working at all, (unless you count blowing warm air on a summer night as working). We called the front desk, the on duty staff person arrived to notice the warm temp of the room, I informed her of the dust covering the air vents of the A/C, but she couldn't assist with the issue and the only room she could offer was a king size room and a cot. Mind you, we had a family of four. She made adjustments to the A/C unit, and left. I followed up and called down stairs asking for a fan, she had none to offer. Soon after (like 10 minutes later), our toilet clogged up, and my husband had to go downstairs and get a plunger to fix it himself. At that moment, he noticed, the other staff person had left and another had taken place. For the cost of paying for 2 nights with ants and a non functioning A/C unit in south Florida, the hotel comp-ted us $40 for our entire stay. We also had tried to do our laundry prior to leaving on our cruise, BUT the washers were "out of service." Our entire stay was so "unsatisfactory" for a family of the Armed Forces taking their first vacation and using the needed discounts to afford a vacation stay. We were so displeased of the customer service to accommodate hotel maintenance issues. This was not the memorable Holiday Inn Express stay we had in mind. June 29, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GREAT STAFF! During our stay getting ready to go on a cruise, my granddaughter lost a family heirloom gold earring somewhere in the hotel. Having used the pool and traversed the hallways frequently, we held little hope of ever finding it. We left word with the front desk and left for our cruise. midway through the cruise, we found out they had located the earring (in the hotel lobby fountain of all places) and we could stop by after the cruise and retrieve it. Needless to say we were stunned and most appreciative. THANKS! June 23, 2015

Only two (2) things I am not 100% at, I like my pillows a bit firmer than the soft and "firm" pillows offered on the beds, and during breakfast, it would be great if you offered whole milk, not just the reduced fat or 2% milk (my daughter only eats whole milk).
