Great Hotel!

This is a gem hotel to stay out when in or around Fairfield, TX!! The rooms were very clean and spacious along with the staff being very customer service driven.
Donna at the front desk gave us exceptional service with being not only friendly and informational but also making us feel like a valued customer. We will definitely be back here when in the area!

HOME AWAY FROM HOME

I LOVE THE CLEANEST OF THE HOTEL. GOOD COMFORTABLE BEDS AND PILLOWS. EVERYONE IS VERY FREINDLY AND HELPFUL. WE ENJOY STAYING THERE EVERYTIME WE COME TO FAIRFIELD. THEY HAVE A VERY GOOD BREAKFAST.
WE HAVE USED THE NICE POOL IN THE PAST AND IT WAS VERY NICE AND REFRESHING. A WONDERFUL PLACE TO STAY WHEN YOU ARE AWAY FROM HOME.

Staff was Good, Room was not Comfortable

I have recently stayed numerous nights with IHG, usually HIE. This was the most expensive and least enjoyable. The outdoor pool was a hit with the kids and most of the staff was easily accessible and were great. The room was very humid and we later found that the air conditioner was leaking water into the room. My kiddos were constantly getting their feet wet. We notified the staff and their response was "I thought we fixed that. Thank you for letting us know, sorry about that."

Wonderful hotel

Very nice hotel, clean, quiet. Room was already cool when we arrived unlike some other hotels that you have to turn air on to cool it off.

Wonderful stay

First of all Carol greeted me as I came into the building and she was more than accommodating. She was able to answer all of my questions and more. She was very friendly and happy to see me. I felt like I was coming home.

The only suggestion I have for this facility is to get some kind of shades or blinds on the windows in the breakfast area. That morning sun coming in is a killer while you are trying to sit there and eat, or read a newspaper, or check your computer. It gets too warm after a while too.

Pleasantly Surprised

This was a great hotel. We stayed here to get out of the bad weather we were driving in on our way to Houston from Dallas. Other brand hotels we're used to staying in had no electricity, so we stopped at this Holiday Inn Express. We were so surprised when we walked in the door because of the expensive hotel appearance. It needed some general maintenance, but overall, it was really pretty. The pool, itself, was gorgeous, and relaxing, with a rock waterfall on one side. The workout room was very nice, and the staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The room even had a Keurig machine! The one thing that I thought was a big negative was, the breakfast tasted awful. I mean, really, really awful. But, there was a restaurant that's really good within walking distance from the hotel that served a tasty breakfast.

Great hotel, but terrible mattress

This is a very nice facility. The hotel is will kept and comfortable. The staff is great. Very friendly and helpful.

The queen beds and chairs in our rooms have clearly seen better days. They are worn out and in need of replacement. Certainly not what I have come to expect from any IHG hotel.

The best thing about the HIE was Sam's Rest-
aurant & BBQ was next door and a great place to eat. In the breakfast room, the little refrig that holds the milk, hard boiled eggs, et al was nearly empty. The pancake maker was very slow and only made one pancake at a time. A breakfast room attendant was not visually available until we were nearly finished eating what food was available. The attendant then showed up to restock the hot and cold items. I recommend this location because of it's proximity to an excellent restaurant.
