Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by The elevator was broken We checked in.. Went to eat.. When we came back.. We where told that the Elevator motor had over heated and the Elevator was broken.. And they had called for service.. This was Saturday evening.. MY wife as well as my elderly people and convention people had to up and down up to three Floors. People where very unhappy so were we.. Sunday Morning and the Elevator was still down. There should have been an emergency Service call done and they should have worked on it all night. April 30, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by VERY CONGENIAL STAFF OUR ROOM DID NOT HAVE A REFEIGERATOR OR MICROWAVE IN IT. I CALLED THE FRONT DESK AND ALSO WENT DOWN. THE STAFF IMMEDIATELY MOVED US TO A ROOM WITH BOTH. I WAS SURPRISES TO KNOW THAT ALL HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS ROOMS DO NOT HAVE THEM. April 29, 2015

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Rooms need updating Our first problem when checking in at 6:00 p.m. was that our room was not ready and would take 10 - 15 minutes. It wasn't until asked if there was another room that was available that the desk clerk looked and was able to locate a room the same as ours that was ready. The guest shouldn't have to wait for a room at that time of night or be the one to prompt the desk clerk to look for another. We are also Platnium members, so we did not expect this treatment after a long day on the road. Once we got to the room, it was evident that this is a old hotel in need of a major remodel, but were just happy to have a room to go to, so we accepted it for what it was. Next time we are in the area, we will look for a different place to stay. April 20, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by very nice Stayed here during impromptu visit to casino in Metropolis--which was sold out of rooms. I felt very safe in walking by myself on the side streets for my daily walk the next morning. Very pretty area. Would definitely stay here again. April 13, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by sleepless in Minnesota Room smelled of dog and cat dander, Visible mold on a sensor on the ceiling. People above sounded as though they were going to fall through our ceiling when walking around until midnight and again at 4:00AM. A guest had her two dogs in the breakfast area in the morning. My whole family were sick the next day with allergies due to the room. Long time Priority Club member. Definitely the poorest room I have ever stayed in. April 12, 2015
