The breakfast did not open until 6:30 am and thus I was NOT able to take advantage of this service.

The cleaning staff and Janitorial staff were excellent.
The front desk staff was friendly and efficient.
It takes 75 - 90 minutes to shuttle to O'Hare and take the CTA blue train into Chicago.
There is a lot of road construction going on around the hotel right now.
The complimentary breakfast could have had two lines going, rather than just one. It is a comfortable (good amount of space) and relaxing breakfast area.
The lobby and first floor hallways are generous.
The shuttle to O'Hare leaves every 30 minutes to and from, sometimes gets delayed.
Could be a better price point for the room, especially for a IHG club member.

hotel was comfortable and enjoyable. staff was friendly and attentive to needs. bathroom very small and shower curtain was not in great shape. pool water was quite chilly

I have typically come to expect a relatively "updated" hotel experience when I stay at Holiday Inn Express hotels, but this hotel feels like one of those Holiday Inn (not Express) hotels where updates are required that led me away from the Holiday Inn Chain. For this hotel I'd start with new rugs, modern window treatments, "cooler" lighting, etc.
I would probably stay here again, but just be aware this hotel is really more reminiscent of the older holiday inns from the 1960s and 1970s than a new Holiday Inn Express from the 2000s.

I arrived after midnight after a long flight from Australia only to be sent to an unclean room (the bed had been slept in - I actually was afraid someone was already in the room!) Staff were excellent about sorting it out and sent me a very nice (and clean) suite. Thank you excellent staff.
My room had been pre-paid and I presented said pre-paid voucher on check in. My CC was given for incidentals (of which there were none.)
I *should have* checked the invoice that was under my door in the morning but I've stayed at probalby 40 IHG properties and have never had an issue so I assumed it would be ok. When I got my CC statement I found the duplicate charge.
Emails and phone calls have been ignored.
