Hotel was new so everything was clean, good decor, comfortable etc. right on the motorway so perfect for a 1 night stay over.
One observation - though the pool wasn't open, it was right by the car park with no cover / seclusion. Even if it was open, I wouldn't have felt comfortable using it with my nephews!

As a place to sleep overnight driving up through France, I can recommend the Holiday Inn Express Dijon. It's easy to get to, there's a few different places to eat next door, and the quality of the room, bathroom, and bedding is very good.
However, there were a few minor issues. The internet access was extremely slow to the point of being unusable. The room doors are somewhat prone to slamming (we were woken a couple of times in the morning by them), and the outdoor pool described on the website was closed (which was a shame, as it was one of the reasons we'd chosen to stop here).
If none of those are essential to you, this is an excellent place to stop, and hopefully all those issues will be addressed in time.

We are a family of 4 and were on our way to the Alps. We got 2 rooms, each had big double bed and sofa which could be made into bed. Clean, comfy with friendly staff and a useful selection of instant pasta type meals plus a microwave for travellers arriving late (we didn't use but great to know it is there) We have a wheelchair user in the family and this hotel was great though I did have to email to check there was a lift as it is not actually mentioned on the hotel web site.
Breakfast was very good with lots of choice and served til 11 on a saturday. Only comment would be avoid eating at Criee, across the road and nothing to do with HIE, but overpriced over-cooked fish in a restaurant that claims to specialise in seafood is not a great start!
