This left you feeling more secure in the evenings and protected in the weather. The car was cooler during the day, and dry when raining. Our room was clean and comfortable. A baby bed was offered for our grandson at no extra cost. Good experience and good value for the money. February 10, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Cranky Reception When checking in one receptionist was too busy arranging paperwork they didn't acknowledge my presence. The second receptionist told me that it was necessary to photocopy my credit card since it did not have raised numbers to emboss (it had raised numbers!). I stated my concern about a copy of my credit card being captured on the copier's computer memory and asked how often that copier memory is cleared. They had no idea what I was speaking about. As a former investigator for the SEC and a certified fraud examiner, copy machine memories are a fruitful ground for abusing confidential personal information. I have a big concern that the staff at this location was completely ignorant of such abuses. When I asked for the photo copy of my credit card upon check out, the receptionist acted as if it was an imposition for me to get my confidential information returned. I was disappointed with the San Diego staff. They did not reflect the hospitality and courtesy that Holiday Inn is known for. They should follow the example of the Oceanside Holiday Inn where I stayed 2/1/16- 2/5/16. Count me as disappointed in the San Diego staff. And you should remind your staff about protecting customer confidential information, including clearing photo copier memories as a daily practice. February 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A+ Service Room good for 1 A+ professional service at check in. IHG status recognized. Great location for Old Town & airport. Shuttle service a plus. Breakfast has many choices. Room was clean, good size for 1. Have on site washing machines & driers. Washing machine did not wash off the laundry soap so had to change machines, pay more to run another cycle without soap. On site store for essentials. Would recommend & stay again just not do laundry February 8, 2016

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Be ready for traffic noise While it is in a nice central location near Old Town, and not far from Little Italy and downtown, it is right off the freeway. They do offer free shuttle service to the airport and Old Town and staff is friendly. Food choices were average. Nice little shop for basics. No stores close by, just gas stations, unless you go into Old Town. February 5, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Overall good experience The room was quiet because it was on the side of the hotel facing away from the highway. It lives up to the usual standard of Holiday Inn which is comfortable. The breakfast was very good. Special thanks to Eddie and Fernando for their help in getting to the airport on time. Keep up the good job! Room Tip: Choose a room on the side of the hotel away from the freeway February 2, 2016
