I travel, A LOT. I always stay in an IHG hotel and this was the worst experience I have ever had in one. The staff were normal, the breakfast phenomenal for an express, but the amenities in the room and the room itself were terrible. The bed felt as if the mattress would cave in and I felt every spring under me. The TV had about 10 stations to choose from (despite the card that said almost 60 were available) and more than half of those 10 were Spanish channels. The hotel lost water half way through my shower and again after they "repaired it" during my 4 year olds shower. Lastly, a single elevator in the entire hotel was operational and the maid staff had it pretty well monopolized during their morning routine. Stairs are a bit difficult with 2 small children and accompanying luggage. I'm extremely displeased I used up my remaining points for this hotel.

We were disappointed in only one area: reception. When we arrived we approached the front desk and said hello to Agustin. Agustin barely acknowledged us. No smile, no greeting, seemed annoyed. He asked or our last name then said he didn't have our reservation. Asked for our reservation number. As I was looking for the email in my phone, he said, nevermind I found it. Needless to say, he had us alarmed that we did not have a reservation. He handed us our keys (one of which never worked on the door) and our paperwork. It felt like being booked into jail. Very cold and unwelcoming. As a Human Resources Manager, I understand how important customer service is for an organization and felt that management should be aware of how we were greeted upon arrival.
The room had new carpet, beautiful granite countertops, and a perfect kitchennette. We would definitely stay again.
