From initial check-in to the quality and cleanliness of our room to the choice and freshness of our breakfast, everything was superb. The shuttle service was right on time every time, the drivers were always very pleasant and helpful. In fact we had a great experience with every hotel employee we encountered. This was my first Holiday Inn Express experience and you guys at Northeast DC have set the bar pretty high. Thanks for everything. May 9, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A manager with a passion for service to his customers We experienced absolutely the best service ever during our stay at Holiday Inn Express Northeast Washington DC. The manager, Carl was the most friendly, helpful and service minded manager that we have ever experienced in IHG hotels or any brand. Carl shouldn't just be a hotel manager, he should be TRAINING managers. He seemed to be everywhere making sure that all the customers were getting what they needed. My wife is disabled, uses a scooter and needed extra help, especially getting to Union Station. Carl personally took responsibility to make sure that we were taken care of. We will only stay at this hotel when we go back to Washington to visit a grandson who is in the Coast Guard Honor Guard in Washington. If every manager showed the concern that Carl showed us, Holiday Inn Express would be preferred over any other hotel. Again, we appreciate manager Carl's concern for our well being more than words can describe. Please make sure that this compliment moves up your corporate chain so those in charge may find ways to leverage Carl's passion for customer service. May 7, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Was not allowed to make reservations for my next visit While there at this hotel, on Sat am,April 25 I attempted to make reservations for my next visit, since I was already there. The lady that work in the accounting office said,"you will have to go on line to make reservations, I can not make reservations." She was very rude and hateful.I usually call on the phone and is transferred to reservations, but I thought being that I was there already, I could go ahead and set everything up.I have never seen this happen before. My other concern is that my room did not have a desk for my laptop. I was given a code , but no desk to use in my room. Everything else was fine. That rude lady's behavior was not good customer service. May 3, 2015
