Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 4 days/3 nights stay in Batam We had a wonderful experience in Batam's Holiday Inn. From friendly staff, to beautiful views from our 10-th floor room, it was a memorable experience. There are 4 different restaurants on the property to suit various appetites, a wonderful spa, where we had a royal full day of treatments, and the ladies there took wonderful care of us. Also as a Platinum Elite member, at check in I was given 3 different coupons - 1 for a complimentary 15 minute massage at the Tee Tree Spa (right on the property), 1 for 2 bottles of essential oils, and 1 for 2 cocktails from the bar. What's funny is their free coupons worked - we ended up booking several spa treatments, buying several more bottles of essential oils to take back home with us and we certainly had our fair share of cocktails by the pool :) Overall, a wonderful experience, even if most of the staff didn't speak very good English and seemed confused by even simple questions sometimes. Rooms are a bit older and could use some updating, but we had a great time nonetheless. December 15, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Clean environment but lack of amenities I've stayed here before this current trip and I must say that things around the area have deteriorated quite badly. The resort used to organize bike tours in the morning to the surrounding jungle trails and had other activities where guests can book at the tour desk. These services were not available anymore which was quite a disappointment. The shuttle service to Nagoya was well managed. As with all holiday properties, the area was kept to a high standard to cleanliness and had friendly staff which is always a major attractive factor when choosing a place to stay. Keep it up holiday in hotels worldwide and I love the selection of soft and hard pillows available on most properties from Europe, to Americas to Asia. December 11, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome Hotel and Service. Just that the arrangment and timing of the bus have to be improved. Before I reached Batam, I was told that the staff will pick us up at the arrival gate, holding a Holiday Inn Resort sign/board/paper to escort us to the bus. But waited for more than 30mins and no sign of the staff at all. Went to borrow a phone and called the management after, was told that the bus will be arrived in 10mins. 10mins passed and bus arrived but other group of people got up instead then was told to wait for another 5mins for the next bus. In the end, we got to the Hotel spending 1 hour plus waiting and looking for the arranged transport. Really like it that they have clean and big bus to transport us to 2 shopping mall in Batam. But if the timing can be more and last bus can be in a later timing will be best. The transport to the ferry departure was not so well arranged too~ A staff told us that the bus is ready but cannot start moving cuz the time is not up yet. They only can start moving at 5.20pm. So there is no way we can go to the terminal earlier. When it's time to go, we were told that the bus is full and we have to wait for another 5mins. They were really good to arrange a cab for us to catch our ferry on time with no charge. But I think it's just our luck that the cab driver is a little sick that day. While on the road rushing to the ferry terminal, he cannot hold his sickness anymore and opened the window to vomit. Because it's raining with big wind, some of the bits of vomit actually got to my friend's face and body. He is not so happy with the whole thing in the end. But the trip was good, just the transports arrangement and timing that need to be improved. December 8, 2014

To begin with, a huge kudos to your reservation team. They promptly replied my emails and accommodated my needs efficiently. Upon reaching Sekupang Terminal, I was warmly greeted by your staff and ushered to the shuttle. At the front lobby for checking in, every single details and enquiries were looked into and attended to meticulously. My overall experience was an awesome one. I am looking forward to return soon.
