We were very pleased with the quality of he hotel although it seemed a bit pricey. We were amazed at how :"DEAD" the hotel and casino were for that time of year. We assumed the city would be jumping.

We have stayed at many Holiday Inns in our travels, and this one is tops in our book. The location is great -- you can walk to downtown and free parking is in a covered lot. We were given an upgrade of a room with a balcony overlooking the town. The town of Deadwood is historic and fun. Be sure to visit the many shops and stops in the town and learn about Wild Bill and Calamity Jane. The hotel is created from a historic mining site and includes a casino. Although we didn't visit the casino, we walked through it to get to the hotel elevator, and it was clean and wholesome. The pool and hot tub were great. We ate at the bar restaurant in the hotel. The pizza is outstanding. We enjoyed our stay so much, we extended our visit to a second night. Everyone at the hotel was friendly, helpful and courteous. The room was spacious and comfortable. We could not have asked for more -- and it was a good value.

We had a great stay at the Deadwood Mountain Grand. The staff was very friendly and helped throughout our entire stay. The room was nice and the resort was clean and well-kept.
Sure wish the casino would have paid out more! :)
If we go back to Deadwood, we will definitely stay here again.

Not told that there were no 1st floor rooms because of the casino entrance, registration and fitness floor before the actual room floor started.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jackson0328 OMG WHAT A HOTEL> Beautiful!!!
When we were checking in, the Desk Clerk was very direct and almost rude. We knew we were checking in early and told her "it is alright if they were not ready for us yet, we know we are early, just checking”.
She had a "You're interrupting me attitude:" Then when she noticed I am a Platinum Member with two rooms and she perked up with friendliness!!! That was a small issue however I feel was worth mentioning due to this is the type of Hotel, certainly some of your clients would not appreciate the attitude. (I still gave your staff a 5 because of the others we meet). Night clerks were wonderful and helpful finding direction to things, Info on Rushmore, Full Throttle, activities, etc...
Now, about our stay, OH MY GOSH!!!
This is flat out one of the most Magnificent Hotels that we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in a lot!
Beautiful Room (Big and Rich)
Great view of Downtown Deadwood!
Casino on lower floor!
Great pool and Hot Tub area!
Something about it ambience just mad you feel like you never wanted to leave!
It’s better than a Cruise Ship!
We loved everything else about it!!!

The Hotel is easy to spot as you come into Deadwood as long as you look up high on the building. The staff that greeted us at the main door was very good to us and helped answer all the questions we had and helped us find a spot in the parking ram to secure our motorcycle trailer for our visit. Everyone of the staff that we came in contact with were very out going and kind and helpful. The food was good in the hotel. We did not have any luck with the gambling at the hotel or downtown Deadwood.
