Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Bathtub did not drain and toilet did not flush. The bathtub did not drain and the toilet did not flush. I reported it but no one came to fix it. I told the front desk again when I checked out but they just said "Oh I'm sorry". And did Nothing!!! September 2, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Experience with Front Desk Staff In an effort to not beat this horse to death now that I have spoken with Richard, the property manager, I will say that the front desk staff needs training. I have left a long review on TripAdvisor regarding our experience and reviewed this hotel on facebook. At Richards assurance I have responded to him that I will give them another opportunity this upcoming weekend. We will be re-instating our reservation with them, using his offer of a comp night. I will review them again after this. What I can say is I have stayed here many times over the years and NEVER had this experience. Employees where always overly friendly and helpful. My daughter loves the entire resort and we have been to all the Landrys restaurants and the San Luis and this is the ONLY bad experience we have ever had. And it was only the hotel staff. The Jetty staff was excellent. So in all fairness I will give them another review that I hope will be 5 stars. August 30, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Weekend I would recommend this hotel for your stay in Galveston. The staff is very helpful and do everything in their power to make your stay the best. They didn't have a king room available, per the computer, when we arrived - but after just a few minutes, we were relaxing in our room. Then, they were very helpful with a selection of local restaurants and discounts which may be available. The location is great as well!! Right across the street from the beach, and close to some fine eating as well. August 24, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Internet is HORRIBLE Internet is SLOW, logs you off a lot, and CANNOT open multiple tabs. When you call in to tell them....they tell you that they will re-boot the system. ?????? I was in the elevator and asked other guests if they were having issues with the internet and they all said Yes and they had called the front dest to be told that they would re-boot the system. ????? I also know spanish and asked the maintenance guy and he said that this hotel has incredibly slow internet unlike the other hotels around this one. August 24, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good location While this hotel has been excellent for previous stays, this time was not even good. Had to ask 5 times for rollaway bed; pool had chicken quesidillas in the pool which the pool hostess and pool cleaning man both saw...but did nothing about it until we insisted. Then retrieved it from the pool and laid it on the side of the pool...yuck! We covered it with rocks. Otherwise things were fine. We will give it a try again....hopefully with better results. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great time for kids Overall great family friendly place. Location is excellent and close to lots of activity. Kids loved the pool and the fun of ordering food and drinks from the pool area. Especially excited about the Sat movie night at the pool with free popsicles! The staff was great, accomodating our request for an air mattress and extra blankets. Only downside was that room remained fairly warm although we had AC set to 60 degrees, especially in the evening/nights. Everyone slept without blankets. And the bathroom shower had a leak which we could not stop, so the bathroom generated some of the mugginess if you opened the door at all. Nephews said the game room was small and cramped, but they were also happy to see one! We would be happy to try this location again in a future stay. August 21, 2014
