We are not swimmers, but enjoy watching the surf. Loved having a private balcony. The staff are always very pleasant and ready to serve. October 28, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bad room and rude front desk Make sure you see your room with its location as we we asked if it had a good view of the ocean and was told it had a great view of the ocean from all points but my balcony from my room looked at the roof of the resturant and the noise level from the AC units on the roof was atrocious. Was told they would move us the next morning as we were told they were filled but next day at front desk we would have to pay an increase for a better view. Front desk lady was a lttle rude and insensitive. October 28, 2014

Stayed here on a Friday night to have some fun over at the Kemah Boardwalk, was greeted by friendly staff that help me checkin with efficiency, The room was super clean and has a very modern flair to it. When we came back from Boardwalk there was a lot of people in the lobby waiting on the elevator, there was only one working at the time. Got to my room to find great TV channel selection, cold AC and comfy beds......One thing that I did notice was no in room WIFI only hardwire only and since I did not bring my airport with me using an iPhone and iPad was useless. Other than that this is a great place to stay, a bit overpriced but worth it. October 25, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great service and great location Staff were very helpful and very pleasant. We asked for dining recommendations and were provided with coupons for free items. Very much appreciated. The room was very quiet, clean and close to the elevators and refreshments. Wifi was great in the lobby area, but not so great in the room sometimes. Property was located across the street from the beach and walking distance from many great restaurants and attractions. Planning to return again for a long week-end stay in the near future. If you want to find the best places to visit, ask the attendant that cleans your room. They always have great suggestions. We recommend taking the Duck Tour. October 25, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great location My daughter and I enjoyed the room and we always enjoy the balcony and pool area. Drinks by the pool an absolute plus! Location is perfect and ocean view is always important to us. Celebrated my birthday dinner on Broadway , lunch earlier on Postoffice Street and in the early morning attended the D'Feet Breast Cancer (daughter was a speaker for that important event) 5k run! Hotel let us check in early and that was great as we had a very busy day. Will stay again. October 23, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by SHUTTLE RUDE RUDE RUDE I have stayed at this hotel several times and have taken the shuttle to and from the cruise terminal. I have never been treated so rudely. We had to call several times to get the driver to pick us up then he wouldn't load our luggage and then left us in the middle of the long term parking lot. the drivers in the past have always been very helpful and left our bags behind our vehicles. This guy (NOT Ed), was rude and when we asked why he was leaving our bags in the middle of the lot he said he wasn't driving to two or three different cars. He also followed me to my car asking for a tip, when I refused, he cursed. I have bragged about this hotel and will not be booking the six rooms in February like I had planned. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Not too bad. We have been coming to Galveston for years but this was our first time to stay at this hotel. Overall experience was good. All staff was very friendly and helpful. Our main issues with Sleep Quality was the noise of the birds in the trees on the property waking us up VERY early in the mornings. Not exactly the vacation sleep in we were hoping for. Relaxation again the issue really was the noise. Was never really able to enjoy the balcony from the noise. Views from the balcony, as long as you don't look down to see roof top, were good..Breakfast buffet was average. Room Service was 45 minutes and not that great food. Location was great, Value was about the same as everyone else along the Seawall. Although having been coming to Galveston for years, sad to say it's becoming commercialized which is driving up the cost of EVERYTHING. Will we stay here again? Depends on competitor's price at the time. October 21, 2014
