The word "Resort" is a stretch for this facility but I would call it a good hotel, even though it was more like a motel experience.

The stay was okay--initially, the front desk agent was not aware I had a 2 night stay--I then asked if I could get an upgrade and the young man assisting Michelle--said "here is your upgrade" and handed me a lei. I then mentioned that I was platinum and they said they did not see on my reservation--as Deb the bell hop took our luggage up she overheard me asking about the welcome amenity and told me that my room was not a good room for upgrade, she immediately called the front desk manager and told them that I had not been acknowledge--shortly after front desk called to apologize and offer amenity.
On sunday morning, I called before 8am to inform them that my fridge was not working and my food had spoiled, engineering came after 815am and said that the fridge had been turned off ( he then pulled out a knob from his pocket to adjust, I told him that I had not seen a temp knob and he said, they pulled them out to avoid them being lost, stolen or broke--needless to say all my stuff was spoiled)--as I was checking out I mentioned this to agent and she was not aware--I then asked to speak to manager--Ms. Smith, acted like it was no issue and said well I will comp your French toast--I had left over dinner, cheese, milk, deli meat and Juice that was a total loss--she was still trying to figure out something on my room, I just walked out and said that she could figure without me---
The hotel was nice and Courtney at gift shop and Deb the bell hop were excellent but the front desk makes your first impression and had I solely gone with that--I would have been soooo disappointed.

Loved staying on the beach and have stayed here in the past on business trips. This time however, a combined business/play trip, some things were off.
To begin with we booked our room weeks in advance and requested a room on the upper floors. Upon checking in, we discovered we were on the first floor. The clerk on duty told us they "really don't pay attention" to those requests! We finally got her to give us a smaller room on the third floor, but NOT what we were expecting in the least.
In the room we discovered a bedside electrical outlet wasn't functioning. In addition the in room wireless would not recognize our tablet or phone. We called both of these to the attention of mgt, but were told in the case of the wireless, there was nothing they could do. As for the electrical outlet, it wasn't fixed in our three-day stay.
Not sure we will stay here again.

Our room was on top floor and much to our surprise was sent up champagne and strawberries on our 44th anniversary. Clean room, excellent view and nice pool. Staff was friendly. Great atmosphere.

I have NEVER been to a IHG Property and had this many issues. First, we are checked into our room only to have a stranger walk into our room less than 1 hour later. They checked in another customer to our room! I contacted the management to share my dissatisfaction only to have them tell me that they would call me back. They NEVER did. Later that evening when we returned to our room after dinner, our keys did not work. I went downstairs and there was nobody at the counter for over 5 minutes. My wife and two children had to wait outside the room for over 10 minutes.
Two days later, in the middle of the day and WITH the Do Not Disturb sign displayed, we had the maid walk into our room during my child's nap. She told us that we needed to check out. Since I booked the room with points for two nights and paid for the third, they did not change the reservation over for the third night (this is related to the first screw up where they gave us the incorrect room and checked someone into the same room).
I have NEVER been walked in on in a hotel room and I had it done TWICE this stay. The worst part about it is that management never even apologized!?!?.
On top of everything, they have a playground for the children on their website that does not exist, the property was under construction to the point that I had to walk my family through a bar to go to the pool.
This stay is enough to make me consider my loyalty to the IHG brand. If nothing is done about this, I am switching to......

The jack hammer at the pool was very loud.
Went to the beach to get away.
Understand that they have to do repairs sometime.
