Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Not too bad. We have been coming to Galveston for years but this was our first time to stay at this hotel. Overall experience was good. All staff was very friendly and helpful. Our main issues with Sleep Quality was the noise of the birds in the trees on the property waking us up VERY early in the mornings. Not exactly the vacation sleep in we were hoping for. Relaxation again the issue really was the noise. Was never really able to enjoy the balcony from the noise. Views from the balcony, as long as you don't look down to see roof top, were good..Breakfast buffet was average. Room Service was 45 minutes and not that great food. Location was great, Value was about the same as everyone else along the Seawall. Although having been coming to Galveston for years, sad to say it's becoming commercialized which is driving up the cost of EVERYTHING. Will we stay here again? Depends on competitor's price at the time. October 21, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff but this Property Needs a lot of Work We met a lot of very nice people who worked at this Hotel. They truly made us feel welcomed. However the property is in need of multiple repairs and replacements. During our stay the elevator didn't work, the ice machine on our floor didn't work, our carpeting was stained in multiple locations, the mattress on our bed was not comfortable. The bedding and linens seemed very worn.Should this hotel make the necessary repairs and keep this staff, it could be a fantastic property. October 21, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible!!! This was the most terrible hotel I have ever stayed at. With the loud music thumping in our room from the bar to the drunk people yelling outside. The bed was like a rock and to top it all off the 4:00 am wake up call of screeching birds outside our window. Please cut down the palm trees. They not only house the birds but they block the view of the beach. I defiantly give this hotel a one star. October 21, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Stay was acceptable I have stayed at this property before and the staff is always friendly and courteous. I was recognized as a IHG rewards member. I only had two issues during this stay. Only one elevator was working and it was a little inconvenient. The other thing, since I was traveling on business, the internet service was dreadful. I had to go to the lobby to do the work I needed to do. I'm not sure what can be done, but it does make it difficult when the connection is that poor. I will give this property another stay in the future and if it's not any better, look for an alternative. I do like the location though. October 19, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by over rated stayed here last week everything was bad made reservations a month before and they still could not get things right the room was not ready waited over two hours for the room and they gave me a different room went to use the pool bird floating in the water went to check out and they would not accept me has a IHG waist of my time never stay here worst holiday inn I have ever been to it is not a resort of any kind the manager would not even help BAD BUSINESS October 19, 2014
